After escaping from Bryle's house, the man-wolf went back to the west forest to meet again his comrades.
But for some reason, when he got there, his friend, also a man-wolf, got demented by him. He directly attacked the guy by raising his collar hastily. His fangs grew up with his saliva dripping on the ground. His anger made him scowl like a lunatic. The veins on his temple were about to pop out of his too much rage. Even so, he's that mad with the man.
And for the man-wolf, his eyes went in circles with its pupil compressing in astonishment. He wondered why his friend became so mad at him when he didn't do anything wrong to make his friend feel this way. Or what could be the possible reason why his friend felt like this?
"You! Why are you here?!" his enraged friend growled and was about to punch the man-wolf. Fortunately, another werewolf in his human form stopped the guy from punching him.
"Zenero, stop now. The children are watching," he said.
The children in their human forms hugged their progenitors in fear. This is the first time they saw their trusted elders got into a fight. The female werewolves then protected their children and the male werewolves, on the other hand, covered their families in case they would get involved.
"Tch," Zenero clicked his tongue and turned away, irritated. "Damn you, Vergon," he murmured while he sat on top of the rock.
"W-What's wrong? Why are you mad? What did I do?" The man-wolf, Vergon, asked worriedly and came after his friend, Zenero.
"Don't talk to me, asshole," he answered and gave Vergon a harsh glare.
Vergon was so appalled by what his friend, Zenero, just did to him. He couldn't believe his best friend, who seemed to be like his brother, glared at him. For over millions of years they had been living like almost brothers who lean each other shoulder to shoulder, this moment---his best friend glaring at him, is a seldom moment.
"Do you remember what happened to you last night?" Ivan, who stopped them from fighting, firmly blurted out.
"Last night?" Vergon tried to recall what happened but none of his memories made him understand why his two friends looked so infuriated at him.
But for some reason, after trying to remember what happened, a vague memory befell his mind. That dull memory was him doing something unlikely with another man. His eyes went circles in aghast when he already realized what he did last night.
"W-What did I do again?" Vergon asked his friends while shaking.
Vergon didn't want any mate. He really doesn't want to mate with anyone even if it's his friend or what. So for what he did, he's now doomed. He must face the consequences and responsibilities as a werewolf who made a huge mistake.
"You mated with a human guy, you damn werewolf," Zenero frowned.
After he heard what Zenero said, he felt the whole world fell right above his head, arrows piercing through his beating heart, and the wind blowing him. His jaw dropped and his face became so hilarious of what he had heard. He couldn't believe he mated with a human. And for all humans, it's a guy whom he mated with. If what they said was true, then he might lose his mind---no not only his mind but also his soul.
While his friends suddenly kept silent and trying to accept what their friend did, Vergon held tightly his head and still trying to recall what happened.
Vergon sniffled. "B-But I was attacked yesterday by a---"
"Yes! You were attacked by a group of black demons last night! So what?! Is that really an exact excuse for you to barge in inside that human's house?" Zenero burst out and stood up to argue with Vergon.
His reaction made Vergon go madcap. He knocked a rock and for a second there, the rock was dismantled into pieces. The children and the other family in the werewolf clan who saw that ran away to avoid him. Upon running away, they used their werewolf forms, as well as the children to run faster.
"He didn't have a chance since he was attacked by them. Of course, he needed some strength. So I think he went in there to eat that human," Ivan spoke calmly.
"Eat that human? T-Then why did h-h-he let him have s-s-se... I mean, why did he do that thing to that lowly human?!" Zenero was flustered. Seems like he doesn't want to mention that word where only adults can do in bed.
Right now, Vergon didn't understand a single thing they said and he wasn't following anything they're saying because what all he knew, he was just attacked by those demons.
"And for my wounds, that human might be just treating me, right? We didn't do anything besides him treating me, right? That vague memory was just a simple illusion, right? It was just because I'm exhausted, I was having that kind of nonsense illusion, right? I wasn't really mating with a guy, right?" All those thoughts continued spamming on his head. But what can he do, though? He did it.
The werewolves just looked at him going insane. They can't do anything about it since only Vergon himself can solve his own problems.
"Why are you even here, by the way?" The thoughts of Vergon stopped when Zenero asked.
"Yeah, you should be with your mate right now. Remember, that guy is already pregnant. It's your fault for doing that with him," prompted Ivan.
Vergon then realizes what he did. That's right. He's a werewolf and he mated with a human guy. Whatever is it or whomever he had mated to, either a guy or a female, they would still get pregnant since Vergon's a dominant werewolf.
Of course, he couldn't mate with anyone else now since he already mated with someone. A dominant werewolf can only bond with its mate in its lifetime. Even if he doesn't like it, even if he doesn't want that guy to be his mate, still, he had no choice to make since his scent has been already shared with Bryle. And for the poor Bryle, he will probably get in a lot of danger since the scent of an alpha werewolf has been shared with him.
If the scent of an alpha werewolf had been already united on his mate, it could arouse many many werewolves and it will make them go crazy to the extent that they would go beyond by killing the mate. And since Bryle's already gestating, taking care of himself is the first priority.
As for Vergon, he kept all those millions and millions of years to stay single because of one reason, he's a lot busier than anyone else. And since he's so busy finding the demons' weaknesses, he barely had time to have fun or hang out with his clan. But this time, it all destroyed because of his mistake. All he had to do now is to take responsibility for what he did, even if it's unintentional.
Three days had passed since the accident, Bryle seemed to be so edgy since then. He made a lot of mistakes in his part-time job, even in his school and the way how he does his everyday routine. He made a lot of blunders.
It's not like he's sick nor he felt ill, he just had no idea why he's been acting like that. He knew he fell in love with Vergon and he also knew that he's eager to quit thinking about him, but the more the day passes, the more he wanted to see him again. But what can he do? Vergon might hate him if they see each other again. And how can he find him when he yet doesn't know Vergon's name?
"I really don't understand why I fell in love with that jerk. He's a jerk," Bryle frowned in his mind, clutching his book while carrying his bag to attend his morning class.
In the meantime, he goes to a college university and is now a graduating student. Many school works were piling up and also, it's just a simple problem for him since he could overcome it, but not this time. His head filled up with that golden memory of him doing that with that man he didn't know. How can he concentrate now when he's not in his right state?
"Hey, I have something to tell you," his college friend, Gerard de Guzman, sat on his seat and poked Bryle.
"Yeah?" Bryle then sat beside him, putting his books below his desk.
"There's a---"
Before Gerard could finish off what he was about to say, girls of their same age suddenly shouted and cheering non-stop when a guy entered their class. His hair was like the color of a shiny white thread and his eyes were as blue as the ocean. His smile looked so sweet and impeccable that it would definitely capture you.
The guy glanced at Bryle and waved at him all of the sudden. Bryle then flinched. And for him to make sure that he was the one whom the guy waved at, he glimpsed at his friend.
"Yeah, he's the one I was talking about. The new guy. The. New. Guy," Gerard shrugged.
When Bryle glanced again at the new guy, the person then started to go near him, smiling and eagerly offered his hand to Bryle.
He then uttered, "Nice to meet you. I am Leloux del Fuente."
