"I don't wanna walk," Lili complained.
"Why not?"
"Hogsmeade is so far."
"Are you serious?"
Lili looked at Cedric with puppy dog eyes. "My arm is broken."
"Not anymore!" Cedric laughed.
"Pwease?"
"Ugh, fine. Get on."
"Yay!"
Cedric bent down and Lili jumped on his back, giggling. "God, you are getting heavy. Won't be able to do this for much longer."
"Imma do it as long as I can."

Just as always, the Great Hall was abuzz with students gushing over Hogsmeade that night. There were students who had been many times, and the third years who had only been a few. Of course, there was also the first and second years, who weren't permitted to go for another year or two.
"Firecracker, Lili?" A voice right next to her said, making her jump. She looked to see Fred holding out a firecracker with George behind him. She spotted Cedric holding back laughter.
"Don't do that!" She snapped, slapping Fred. "And why would I want a firecracker?"
"Why not?"
"Do I look like the type of person who would want one of your firecrackers?"
"I don't know. Do you?" Fred asked, setting it off. The noise made Lili jump again.
"Fred, I swear to god!" She half yelled and half laughed, getting out of her seat and beginning to chase him. "Get back here!"

Cedric and Lili walked to the lakeshore the next day, Lili once again on Cedric's back. It had just become their little thing. When they arrived at the lakeshore, the Weasley twins were already there and skipping rocks.
"Over last night, Lili?" Fred asked, smirking.
"No. Don't do that again." She picked up a rock and threw it at him, hitting him in the thigh.
"Oh, come one! It was funny!"
"It kinda was, Lil," Cedric added.
"Not you too!" Lili gave Cedric a small shove with a pouty face, then burst into laughter. "Okay, okay. It was kinda funny. I'll admit it. But still, don't do it again."

Lili lazed in Divination, barely paying attention. It was the only subject that she disliked both the coursework and the professor. She didn't like Snape, but she enjoyed Potions.
"Crystal-gazing requires that you clear the Inner Eye," Professor Trelawney explained. "Only then, will you...see. Oh my, what do we have here...?"
Hermione rolled her eyes as Trelawney inspected Harry's crystal. "Here we go again. It's the Grim! It's the Grim!" Lili couldn't help but snort at the little impression.
Trelawney narrowed her eyes at Hermione. "My dear, from the moment you first arrived in my class, I sensed that you did not possess the proper spirt for the noble art of Divination. You may be young in years, but the heart that beats beneath your bosom is as shriveled as an old maid's, your soul as dry as the pages of the books to which you so desperately cleave."
Hermione seemed at a loss for words. Instead of responding, she simply got up and walked out. Lili watched as Hermione's crystal ball got knocked off its stand and rolled out the door, apparently not wishing to stop in the slightest.
"'In last spring, one of our number will leave us forever!' You knew, Professor! You saw." Lavender Brown's voice irritated Lili.
"On these occasions, I take no joy in my gift, Miss Brown."
