A haunting melody filled the room as Sandra's fingers floated over the ebony and ivory keys. All her sorrow and regret were poured into each note, weaving together a story of lost chances. The lyrics flowed easily from her lips, and as the last quivering word faded into the emptiness, a single tear rolled down her cheeks. 

Wiping it away with a thumb, she set to transcribe her latest composition onto the music score. She clutched the pencil tightly as she wrote the title:
