“This is your room, Esme. We didn't know what you liked, so we just had somestuff brought in.” Ceila opened the door to reveal a room. It looked like a bomb made of unicorns and sparkles went off in there. Twice. Esme didn't want to go in there. She hated glitter and was afraid it would get all over her from just stepping inside. She liked pink, but not that much. The queen and Esme shuffled inside. Esme tried her best not to touch anything as Ceila took a seat on a hot pink sofa with little crystals sewed into it.
“So, do you like it?”
“No.” Esme wasn't sleeping in here. She’d rather sleep outside. “I don't like it. I want to go home. I hate glitter. It's sticky and gross. I liked my old room. Why can't I just stay there?”
Ceila sighed, “Well, why don't you tell me what your room looked like, so I can make you a new one. One you’ll like even more.” Esme started to explain how her old room looked. She explained how she had a wall of colorful crystals and gems and rocks that were a mixture of things she found herself and things she got for birthdays, holidays, ect. She explained how her bed looked like a cloud, with all the big white blankets and pillows. She told Ceila about her bookshelf with all of her favorite books and stories. Then she started talking about the mountain of stuffed animals and pillows in the corner of her room. As she went on and on about her room, she started to get a bit tired. As the time passed Esme sat down on the sofa beside Ceila, and was eventually laying down on it. As she talked and talked, she started to drift off to sleep. Before she knew it, she was out.
Ceila found a soft, purple blanket and laid it over Esme and tucked her in. She really was excited to have a little girl to fawn over. Usually, she’d just make Robin, her youngest son, hang out with her. But now there was another girl here, and Ceila was hoping they had some common instreast. One being shopping. She could only drag her six year old boy around so much before he got sick of it.
