January 9
Esme opened her eyes to find the pink abomination, known as her new room. She was contemplating just closing them and going back to sleep. After a long moment, she decided she wanted to get out of the room. She slowly sat up and stretched. The sofa wasn't the comfiest thing to sleep on. She rubbed her eyes as she stood. She couldn't believe she was able to fall asleep in her itchy dress. She found her bag and changed into something more comfortable. It was a tanked top dress that went to her knees. It was the color lavender with a belt around her waist that was embroidered with crystals. She tied her hair into a braid against her head. Esme took a white flower with a clip on the bottom and stuck it into her hair.
She went into the hallway, only to remember that she had no idea how to get to the kitchen. Her shoulders rolled forward. She could really use some fruity pancakes right about now. She started down a random hallway. She was going to try and find it herself. She walked and walked. Then she walked some more. After that she walked. Then she walked. And finally, she decided to stop.
Esme didn't know how much time had passed. All she knew was that she was starving. She was contemplating eating her dress. She wondered what it would taste like. She wondered if she would be stuck in this maze forever. She would starve! Her eyes started to burn. She didn't want to starve! She didn't even want to come here! She told her father that it was a bad idea, but he didn't listen and now she was going to starve! Tears dripped from her chin. Now she was going to die alone, all because her father wouldn't listen.
