“Tag, your it!” Robin yelled as he tapped Esme on the shoulder and ran. She turned around and started after him. She made a hard left to Derek. Her hand brushed over his arm and she ran in the opposite direction. He decided to set his sights on his younger brother, who was much closer to him.
Though, before he could get to him, his mother called, “ Esme, I have a surprise for you. Come inside.”
“Mommmmmm. We’re playing tag. Can't she go later?” Robin pleaded. His mother just smiled.
“You guys should be getting inside soon anyways, it's getting dark. Come along.” The kids signed and shuffled along behind Ceila. Esme said goodnight to her newfound friends and followed Ceila through the maze that she was now living in. She tried to memorize the way, but it was no use. She did notice however, that they didn't pass the window from before. When they got to Esme’s room, she was surprised when she opened the door to her room from her home.
“I talked to your father and he had the things from your room taken here. We thought it would make you feel at home. If only a little.” Esme immediately ran and jumped onto the bed of pillows and blankets. She was tired and was ready for bed.
Ceila helped Esme get comfy and sat down at her side, “Why don't I read you something.” She went to the bookshelf filled with books. She grabbed one with pretty writing on the side that read, Snow White. She took the book and sat back down on Esme’s side. She opened the book and began to read. She read until Esme was fast asleep. It didn't take very long. She put the book back and placed a kiss on Esme’s forehead. She made sure Esme was tucked in and left the room. She walked down the hall.
