"Now. Now. Why is he with that bastard?" Vergon snapped his tongue, looking so pissed off while tailing the two of them walking together. "Are they together now?"
After Vergon did a non-stop overthinking about them, Bryle shivered. "I feel like someone's been watching us," he said, looking at Leloux.
Right after Leloux heard what Bryle said, he felt the intoxicating frown from someone so he took a glance out of it. That's when he knew, it was Vergon who scowled at them from quite a distance. As a result, he eagerly wanted to tease him further to see what kind of reaction would he make.
"I guess you're here to get him, huh," Leloux conceived boorishly and smirked since a plan came up to his mind.
At this instant, Leloux tried putting his arm on Bryle's shoulder and whispered, "Let's eat lunch. My treat." Then he glimpsed at Vergon and smirked. Because of jealousy, he clenched his fists out of spite.
"That's my mate, not yours. Why are you with him?" Vergon continued mumbling.
It wasn't just him who stood up in that tree spot since beside him, a bench was displayed. Normally, students sit there to take a break, but since the students who tried resting there knew that someone has been grumbling plus his aura was a bit weird, the students held no choice but to transfer to another bench. They see Vergon as an uncanny person.
"L-Lunch?" Bryle shoved off Leloux since he was flustered by what he did to him. "W-We just ate though? Why? A-Are you still hungry?"
Leloux shamelessly smiled. "Yes! I'm still hungr---"
"Hey, Bryle!" It was at that moment, Gerard showed up and called his friend. "I'm done passing my work. How about yours?"
Without hesitation, Bryle immediately ran towards Gerard and said, "Yes, I'm also done." It seemed like he's still uncomfortable when he's alone with Leloux. And for Leloux, on the other hand, he threw daggers at Gerard for interrupting both of their moment. But he can't do anything about it though since Gerard cannot be affected by his powers even if he let it all out.
"Ahh, you saved me there. Thanks, Gerard," Bryle thought and was feeling relieved.
For him to seize away from that spot, it was the best timing ever. And he's so grateful for it.
Since yesterday, Bryle seemed to be casually developing friendly feelings towards Leloux, although it's not his intention to do so. He was confused whether it was because of Leloux's friendly character or was it just because he's a caring person. Maybe both.
Ever since he knew it was Leloux who accompanied him to the infirmary room the moment he collapsed, he already grasped that he isn't a wicked guy at any point. He thought if maybe Leloux truly had no immoral motives against him at all; that it was just his false guts that drove his mind with the wrong objectives.
"Who's that? Why is he surrounded with a lot of guys?" Vergon bit the nails on his fingers while secretly following the three of them. Looking so annoyed, he added. "Not to mention, this extra guy must be popular." And for some reason, Gerard got involved with Vergon's jealousy.
And after that moment, he seemed to sense something coming from his mate, Bryle. It's the scent of him that formed when he bonded with his mate. Vergon ought no idea that his scent had this sweet and alluring smell, so it's a bit foreign for him since it's the first time he smelt something like this. And now since he smelled it from Bryle, it's making him crave for him even more. Vergon wanted to go near him but he can't just approach head-on or else it might frighten Bryle, especially when he did something harsh and ridiculous the last time they met. It's bad for pregnant to feel negative feelings so he tried to control his thirst.
"Tch, why is he here?" Leloux murmured and glared at Gerard after being ignored by them for how many seconds. Of course, Gerard didn't notice Leloux's mumbling since he was blithely talking with his friend about their project. After all, he bears no intention of talking to Leloux in the first place.
"A-Anyways!" Leloux uttered and in a while, the both of them looked at him. "I will now go first," he excused awkwardly. After acquitting himself, he didn't wait for their responses and just walked away like a cat who's out of place.
"T-Take care, Leloux!" shouted Bryle. Even though he feels agitated with him sometimes, it still didn't change the fact that he helped him while he's unconscious.
"Why is that evil going away? Is he mad with that human? I just saw him throwing daggers at him." It looks like Vergon quickly grasped the situation, but it seems like he didn't know the reason yet.
As for Leloux who walked away, he called Vergon by provoking him, but he wasn't listening at all. He produced a group of butterflies to seize his attention but it didn't work. He made an illusion where Bryle was marrying someone, but still, it didn't work on Vergon.
"What's wrong with him? He knew I'm here, right? Why is he not giving a damn at all?" After trying a few attempts, Leloux stopped bothering him when he got blasted with a lot of ladies discreetly giving him gifts and asking him a lot of love-involved questions.
On Vergon's shoes, he didn't bother himself about Leloux getting cramped since his attention was more focused on Bryle, jointly walking with Gerard. There's no deep meaning in their relationship since they only see each other as close friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Vergon even tried controlling himself when Leloux made all of those failed attempts against him, but keeping an eye on his mate is the first priority. Yeah, he noticed all of those failed tries, but he just didn't fret about them at all even if he got jealous a bit about that illusion thing. In the end, he's still drawn by Bryle's scent. But as usual, he tried restraining himself even though it's hard to fulfill.
"H-Hey, it's kinda chilly, right?" Bryle asked Gerard and was shivering.
"I-I think so?" he answered, also shivering.
Yeah again, it's because of Vergon's glare that made them quiver like hell.
After few seconds of limiting his self, Vergon sensed something edgy beside him so he got distracted and unknowingly glanced through it. It was a black werewolf, huffing and drooling while looking at something. That's when Vergon knew, the werewolf was also craving for Bryle because of his attractive scent. Both Gerard and Bryle didn't notice at all and just proceeded to go inside the classroom building to advance to their remaining classes. As an outcome, Vergon wasn't able to follow where they headed since he was distracted by this out-of-nowhere werewolf.
"Where did they go?" Vergon pondered and got worried about Bryle.
After then, he glanced at the werewolf and gazed all over him. The werewolf's attention seemed to be so glued to Bryle so what Vergon did, he called him by warning, "Ahem," as a pretense. The werewolf then peered at him and realized it was Vergon, one of the clan leader's trusted knights.
It may seem to be so confusing about Vergon's original status considering he had a lot of titles in his entire life, but this werewolf surprisingly noticed him in an instant. Vergon was a prince and at the same time, he's also a knight of Lycaon. All of the princes in the Thorfa were also Lycaon's trusted knights. There were over fifty kingdoms in their world, and a total of eighty-plus knights since some are their siblings.
All of the princes were ranked according to their skills and their abilities. That time, Vergon was ranked second among all of the knights. He may be so powerful, intelligent and a great, trusted knight but he's always slacking off, thus, he's down to the second rank all the time.
Ivan was ranked third among all of them. He has such great skill; he could immediately kill an enemy in one snap, and he's a mature one. But the problem is, he's always overthinking and gets easily distracted even if he's in a fight. His overthinking and his environment caused him a distraction, hence, he was ranked as the third knight.
And for Zenero, he was ranked as fifth. He will study his enemies first so that he would know their weaknesses and their strengths. He's a smart creature but the problem is, he gets easily startled even if the fight has not started yet. In conclusion, Zenero is intelligent, but he's not good in terms of combats.
But since Vergon, Ivan, and Zenero were cursed by their clan leader a long time ago, everything Lycaon must say will be their fate. So as to say, if they oppose his proposals and decisions, who knew what would be their punishments looks like.
When the werewolf knew it was Vergon on his side, he immediately bowed at him and ran away from tension. It was Vergon's glare that made him panic like that. There weren't many students strolling around as earlier since the afternoon classes might have already started so as to speak, no one saw that there's a running werewolf in their university.
"Wow, what a nice way to scare a werewolf."
Vergon heard someone talking so he looked behind to see who it was. It was Leloux who leaned on the tree, playing with a dark flame on his palm while smirking all over. Vergon wasn't kind of shocked since he already knew about Leloux being his only enemy who stayed on this campus. So he expected much of this to happen.
"We meet again, demon executioner," sighed Vergon.
