"Congratulations, you're expecting!" I jolt up from the brown chair, messing up my hair. "When is it, the due date!?" I ask quite joyfully.
"It's in November, between the 22nd and 30th." the village's doctor said to me with a smile on her face.
Alas, there always appears a problem, that's the time me and Ethan Flamestone and the others of the Windward Crew. Andrew Featherflame, Amber Prior, Diane and Fredrick Belmont, Lilith Creed, Reinna Highmoon and going on to the sea, for me and Ethan are getting married.
"That's a problem" I mutter under my breath. Wait, we might be able to get back home before the baby comes. I turn back to the 80-year-old Elder, Claire.
"Thank you for your time to evaluate my health since I have been feeling quite nauseous, but now I know!" I answered giggly. I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant! How am I gonna surprise, Ethan? Maybe, scare him to death? I laugh a bit sinisterly. No, wait. Let's keep it a secret.
"I'm pregnant!" I squeal with joy under my breath.
"Now, now run along" waving her hands in a hurried movement. "I have other patients, so please run along, child."
She says with a smile. As I made my way to the door in the cleaned green white-ish room she said "congratulations," with a silent smile.
I make my way to the exit only to find a young man bleeding because he was attacked by a mana beast outside the village, seeking medical care from Elder Claire. The young adventurer passed out and blood spilled everywhere, I made haste towards the young man as he was holding his gut inside as I knew that Elder Claire was occupied with a new patient.
I make towards the young man proceeding imbuing healing mana towards my hands, one of his friends, clad in blue leather with a thin build stopped me before proceeding to help the bleeding man.
"Stop it! What are you going to do!?" he said, trembling, scared as he didn't know what to do.
"I am a healer and an adventurer, I have experience so please let me save him!" I retorted sternly.
"No! Don't you dare touch him as I do not know you nor your ability, it might make things worse!" He said sternly.
True, he didn't know me but now is not the time! A young girl with brown hair, presumably a water conjurer mage, stepped between her teammate and me and yelled.
"LET HER DO HER JOB! I sense that she is holding healing affinity mana in her hands, so she is telling the truth!"
The young man stepped out of the way and let me take over. I took the time to proceed to stop the blood from flowing by using my mana to return the blood into his veins. Later close it by using healing mana so that veins are restored and not bleeding. I made sure that no blood was flowing through the veins, in the meantime.
I cleaned up the blood with a towel that I asked for by one of the three teammates, the young man who stopped me from before came running with the towel high in hand. He watched in amazement at how I can help his teammate.
After cleaning up, I made sure that the blood properly flowed in his veins and no leakage otherwise it would be harder with internal bleeding. To cut him open again, would not be fun.
As I was confirming that there is no internal bleeding by imbuing mana through my hands into his stomach to see if there is any other damage, Elder Claire came into the room. Stood there in amazement and just watched the scene before her.
"There, done" I announce, as the lying man looked a lot relieved, sweat dripping from my forehead and neck because of the concentration and energy to control the mana.
"Amazing!" I hear from behind me, as I look up I see Elder Claire, praising my technique.
The teammates of the wounded man started to cry and thanked me for my effort to save their friend.
"Thank you! Thank you! Please forgive me for my bad behavior from before! Please!" his blue teammate said tearfully.
"Apology accepted, you were in a state of shock so it's only normal to be tenacious to have your friend safe from harm," I affirm my statement with a smile.
"No, there is no excuse for such bad behavior for someone trying to help," he said with sorrowful eyes.
"There is no need to be so apologetic, things are over right? So there is no need to be tense and apologetic," I say and look up to Elder Claire. "Please can you make sure there is no further internal damage. Because my technique is a bit flawed, but I am still improving." I tell Elder Claire with a grin.
"There is no need to be concerned anymore, I saw the technique and it was beautifully performed," she answered with a calm face.
"If everything is done here, I would take my leave, good day," I say with a prideful face because my work was praised. "Alright child, stay safe!" Claire said sternly.
"I will Elder Claire," I said sternly. "Now if you excuse me -" "WAIT!"
I was able to say before being abruptly interrupted as I was heading towards the exit.
"Miss, please let us know how we can repay you!" said the young adventurer laying on the floor still holding his hand on his stomach for re-precaution. "There is no need to re-"
"No, let us please repay the favor for my life!" the tanned young man covered in blood said more sternly while clenching his hand hard on his female teammate. Calming myself and saying a bit more sternly this time.
"There is no need to repay me, now if you'll excuse me I have to go home," I said and headed back to the exit.
"If we aren't able to repay this favor, at least let us know your name, miss!" he said with a bitter tone.
"Alright, my name is Aria Elrod." as I walked through the exit.
"Aria, Elrod. I shall remember the name of my benefactor till the day I die!" he shouts at me as I exit the brown door.
Please don't.
