While it was true that dark elves rarely left their forest retreats, it was common knowledge among Adventurer's especially Adventurers who had met Dark Elves, that Dark Elf women tended to be rather attractive, sometimes even bordering on divine beauty. So, whenever one such elf showed up, they tended to get a lot of stares, especially the women like Caelyn. This, of course, would have worried most people, however, the young princess already knew that Caelyn was likely a far more capable person than anyone who may attempt to do anything to her.
Taking a deep breath, the young princess then slowly shuffled over to the announcing stage, which was generally used exclusively for large-scale endeavors. This, of course, caught everyone's attention even more than the dark elf who stood beside the princess. If someone was using the stage, then something big was about to go down. And if something big was about to go down, gold would be involved.
Gold is always involved.
The young princess glanced around, slowly nodding once she noticed she had everyone's attention. Including the elven receptionist whom she had been flirting with. Upon this, the young princess took a deep sigh and began explaining to everyone what was going down. About how a possible Void Crystal had been located, and that a team was going to be gathered soon to deal with the possible threat. She explained that joining the team would not be a requirement for Adventurers, but as per stipulation agreement with the Adventurer's Guild, compensation would be given to any Adventurer who joined in the subjugation, in way of 150 Gold coins by the royal family, which the princess was representing at the time, and not acting as an Adventurer.
As she finished, she left it open for anyone to step forward, and offer their services to the subjugation. When no one did, likely due to the nature of what was being dealt with, she slowly nodded. She then glanced at Caelyn, who shrugged, before announcing that the two of them would be in town for another week, and if no one stepped forward by then, they would be heading to the Central Branch to look for allies.
As she finished this explanation, she lightly frowned a bit, as once more not many Adventurers seemed to stir, a few did, but none stepped forward to take the prize. It seemed that far too many had bad memories from the events a long time ago, back when Abyssal magic, and thusly Void Crystals, were the prevailing problem of the Guilds. Back then, it was not uncommon for people to lose their lives. That meant that almost everyone there in the Guildhall at the time had lost someone in a Void Crystal subjugation. A parent, a sibling, maybe even a child. In fact, these days, it was more common to know someone who lost someone to a Void Crystal raid, than someone who had been in one.
