"Definately." Kane agrees. 

Marco and I as a more popular couple than Blaise and Amanda? I could never imagine us at the dead point center of attention. But then again I could. A popular and a goth. That didn't sound too bad, so I could see why not. This put me in a better spirits and it was fucking amazing.

Taking our seats I think I know the perfect place to confess my love for Marco. It would surprise him so much. I'm gonna take him to the park by the library where everthing began.

-End of Jax's POV

-Marco's POV-

After math I wait for Marcus. When comes out it's with Payton. I raise my eyebrows then wink. He laughs. I go up to them. "Hey Payton."

"Oh hi Marco." Payton says. "Did you know all along that Mr. over here likes me?" Marcus blushes and I grin.

"I did, and I helped him tell you."

"Aw that was really nice of you."

"No problem."

"What if I hooked you up with Jax?"Marcus asks slyly.

I laugh sarcastically, "Not a chance. I plan on telling him during break."

"Took you long enough."

Payton laughs good naturedlly and I smile begrudingly.

"Well it's taken a lot of courage out of me to do it. So I'm going to make it count."

"You better. Or I'll be dragging you by the collar to Jaz."

I give a snort. "Not with your 4'9 and 1/2 foot frame. Your far too short."

"Bitch, I can do anything with my short frame! Try me!"

"Such as kiss me?" Payton leans over for a kiss. Marcus turns red byt kisses Payton.

"Aww." I say,

"Mari your gonna ruin my momment." Marcus whines.

"Alright, well I'll see you guys during break." I laugh.

"See ya Marco." Payton waves.

I walk away and walk toward science leaving the two boys in their peaceful cute momment. A small part of me is jealous. I already know why but that jealously won't last long. Jax will love me by the end of the day. In science I throw myself in a seat in the third row of desks. Unova, one of the girls in the class, gives me a I-totally-get-it-life-sucks look.

"I way what happened in the cafe today. That's way beyond any Rek stunt." She says.

Well 3/4 of the school was in the the cafeteria. Not including the teacehrs because they had to prepare fo r the mornings. I wasn't entirely surprised that this topic could come up. I surppresed a sight and replied, "Yep."

I wasn't really in the mood to talk about what happened this morning. I just want class to end so I could talk to Jax. But or course, when your really excited about something or have something big come up, class drags like mollasus.

Unova finally got the idea that I didn't want to talk and went back to her business. When class finally starts we all  watch a disgusting video about open heart surgery. That was too much blood and human tussue to see. One guy left the room to throw up. Some girl really turned green and I just had to look away most of the video.

The only intersting thing about the video was seeing the heart. The way it was still beating out the body was kinda cool. At the end I was still a little naesous. I doodled in my notebook for the rest of class. I wasn't really paying attention to what I was drawing when Unova snorted. "Did you really doodle the name Jax Rendred? You knows he's taken right?"

"Huh?" I look down and see Jax's name drawn with open roses. Ugh, I was pathetic. I'd done this many times. "Yeah I did, and they broke up, so just mind your damn busines Unova. Please." I snap.

It wasn't the first time Unova stuck her nose into someone else's privacy. Usually I wouldn't care, but this time it was kinda annoying. Her face looked hurt and she turned her head the other way. I thought about scratching out the doodle but I left it on the page.

As soon as bell rang I hurriedly got my stuff and rushed to the door. But before I could leave the classroom Mr.Castilo called me to his desk. "Ms.Lane."

It was very rare for someone to usually refer to me as a girl. Mr.Castilo was one of the few who did. I respected him for that. So I turned on my heel and walked over to his desk. "Yes Mr.Castilo?"

"I would like to talk to you for a moment. It's nothing bad."

"Okay, sure."

"SO I know that your a good student. I know that you don't do any afterschool activitites, so I wanted to ask you if you were interested."

"Interested in what exactly?" I ask.

"In acting. Or drama club. We could you use some good poetry in there."

"Well I'm already in a club. And acting in a drama isn't my forte. Plus I already have enough drama to worry about. And I want to do certain things after school hours, such as helping my younger sister with work from her own school."

"Marco..."

I hold in an impatient groan. I really wanted to talk to Jax. "Sorry to disappoint Mr.Castilo." I shake my head and my hair goes into my face. I move it behind my ear.

"Alright, it was worth a try."

I smile sympathetically and leave the classroom. I rush to my locker then to the cafeteria. Once I walk in I scan the room for Jax. I don't see him so I wait at our usual table. When Ema and Ember show up they sit down and share a large salad.

I continue to watch the entrance when Ema asks, "Who are you looking for? If it's Rosilen, she's in the office."

Damn it was that bad huh? "No, Jax. I have to talk to him."

"Is it about him pulling you into an empty bathroom and whatelse happened in there?" Ema asks.

"How do you know?"

"Jax is popular. He doesn't just pull people into an bathroom. Plus people who were right there saw you tow. Then gossip and rumors spread like disease." Ember says.

That was certainly true. Anyone could have noticed." It's not about that. But it does have to deal with the two of us." I say. They go back to eating their salad. A few minutes later Marcus and Payton sit at the table. 

"Well aren't you two cute together." Ema giggles.

"Yes we are." Marcus says pridefully. Payton kisses his cheek. I have a feeling of jealously again. And it makes me sick.

"Ugh, where is Jax?" I say very impatient.

"Saw him talking to Blais and Amanda. He was pissed. He was glaring at Amanda" Marcus tells me.

"Of course it's that bitch." I mumer. Marcus raises his eyebrow.

"Damn what she do to you? And why do you need-ooh"

"What?"Ember aks.

"Marco plans on tellling Hax his feelings."

"Marcus!"

"Oop, I guess I wasn't posed to tell." His hand goes over his mouth. Payton laughs.

"Doesn't he already know how you feel about him though?" Ember aks.

"Well not exactly. I never really told him." I check my phone. It's been almost 40 minutes. I feel like throwing my phone, but then my dad won't buy me another one. One thing I know is that Jax always has his phone on him. So I just text him.

Coco: Jax I need to talk to you.

I wait a few moments but he doesn't respond.

Coco: J it's really important.

Coco: I will blow up your phone. Answer me back please!!!

I wait a minute or two when he finally responds.

Jax: Sorry. Coming to the caf now.

Coco: I'll be waiting.

"Hey Payton, are you going on the Holloween field trip?" Ema asks.

"Only if Marcus is going." He answers.

"Aah, fresh love." Ember says sarcastically.

"Don't ruin their moment Em." Ema scolds her twin.

"Of course I'm going, I don't miss after parties. And if Payt is going, then it's going to be better." Marcus leans on Payton's shoulder.

"Hopefully it won't become rated R." Ember mummers. Ema takes a peice of lettuece and throws it at Ember.

"What?! Marcus is not the type who's gonna keep his virginity long. It's the facts."

Marcus gasps, the giggles, then laughs. We give him worried looks. "She's totally right." He says between laughs.

"Should this be funny?" Payton aks with a raised brows.

"That's between the two of you." I say and the twins nod.

All of a sudden Jax is next to me and I freeze. The other four share a look.

"So what was so urgent and important that we needed to talk about?" Jax asks. "Is it about Rosilen?"

This is the moment were I can tell him everything.Where I cross the friend zone. I try to open my mouth but it's like I can't move. It's like how they describe it on TV. My heart is about to leap out of my cheast. I can't even breathe. I'm totally frozen in place that I can't even make a sound. I just look at him. 

"Come on Marco. Now is not the time to freeze up." Marcus says.

"Marco what is it?" Jax looks a bit frantic.

"I-I-I-" I stutter.

"Hold it. Look who's coming over here." Ema says with disgust.

We look up and around to see Angee coming to our table. We all give her dirty looks. She gives us a dirty look back. "I was forced here so don't go giving me shit. The principle wants to see Marcus and Marco. And she means now, no delays."

I don't hesitate to get up from the table. If it gets me away from whatever I was feeling, then I didn't care.

"Marco what about-" Jax starts.

"I'll tell you later." I laugh nervously.

"Okay." He gives an odd look.

Marcus gets up and joins me but Payton says something to him before we leave. "Marcus?"

"Yeah?"

"Were going to have that conversation later." He winks.

"Of course we are." Marcus laughs and we walk to the office. Angee walks away ahead of us. 

As were walking I ask Marcus, "You guys are going to hook up on that trip, aren't you?"

He scoffs, "No, but were probably gonna have sex one day. There's no doubt about that."

"I really think you guys will, but that's just me."

"I think Payt wants it more than me." He admits.

I stop in the middle of the empty hall. "Your serious?"

"Totoally. He's completely obsessed with me. He told me earlier. Ever since 9th grade. You don't know how that feels-well yoy will in a couple of hours."

"I'm glad he loves you for who you are." I start walking again."

He sighs romantically, "Me too."

"Ugh, would you both shut the hell up and come on already. I already don't want to be near you." Angee complains.

Marcus says something unitelligable under his breath for Angee not to hear and I smirk at the back of her half shaved head. In the office Rosilen's mom is waiting in one of the many uncomfortable "lobby" chairs. And she looks very annoyed.

"Hi Tulip." I greet her. She likes to be adresed by her first name. She looks up, "Hi you guys." We sit next to her quietly.

When the principal comes out so does Rosilen. Her face shows no emotions. Like a new canvas, there's nothing that shows on her face. It surprizes me greatly.

"Ms.Tuplip, a word please. I'll talk to you two afterwards." Mrs. Rusic says. "Rosilen take a seat with the boys."

Rosilen and Tulip exchange places. Rosilen takes a seat and Tulip goes to Mrs.Rusic. They then walk into her office. When the door closes behind them I don't wait to ask questions. "Rose...What did she say?" 

She doesn't answer for a moment, "...She's taking me off the debate clun for the rest of the year."

Marcus and I both gasp. Rosilen loves the debate club. Ever since last year when she joined. "It was better than detention."

I'm pissed, "How could you say that?! How the hell is that better tahn detention?" I ask through gritted teeth.

"If I did, they would've tried to kill me." 

"Rosilen, debate is your... your main thing. Giving taht up until next year is going to be so hard." Marcus says softly.

"Don't you think I know?!" Rosilen looks at us. Her face is anger. But there are tears coming down her face. "I love to agrue over taht stuff. To give the right facts. And the teamwork that goes into it all.

"For me me to give that up is huge, but I know you guys will be there to help me out so I'll just have to deal with it."

Her face goes to her hands and she cries. Marcus goes to neal by her but I'm still pissed.

"Crying isn't an option. Didn't you say that in 7th grade when we were playing volleyball? I got frustrated and cried because I was spiked. You said: 'Crying isn't an optioon. Now go get your ass back to your playing position and show them what you can do.' Your words."

"Don't be weak Rosilen Brash." I say. Her sobs stop and she looks up at me. Her face is still angry but she has stopped crying. "I'm pathetic aren't I?"

"At the moment, yes." Marcus answers.

"I'm so glad for friends. Especially you two. Life is hopeless without you."

"I know."

Rosilen laughs at his smug expression. "Your more smug than usual."

Marcus bites his lip to keep from squealing. "I made it official with Payton."

Her eyes go wide for a moment. "Wow. I wish you the best. Have you talked to Jax today besides what happened earlier?" She looks at me. Marcus does too.

I give hima look that says don't-you-dare-say-a-word."Well he was late to the cafeteria so before I could talk to him we were called to the office."

"What did happend when he went after you?"

"I'd like to keep that private and if Marcus opens his mouth about it, mu chain chocker will be going around his neck extra tight."

"And what would you say to Payton once you've hidden my body huh?" He smirks.

"Oh, I don't think Ember would mind helping me do a dirty deed." I joke.

"Now that's just dark humor right there." Rosilen shakes her head.

We laugh and I say, "We are goths after all."

Mrs.Rusic and Tulip come out Mrs.Rusic's office and she waves us to come here. Marcus and I obey.

-End of Marco POV

-Jax's POV-

What was Marco going to tell me? He seemed very impatient on the phone. But when I asked him it was like he couldn't answer. Weird. Anyway I still can't get over what Amanda said to Blaise about what happened in math.

"He talked about me being a slut." She said.

Then Blaise comes over to my locker. And that's when more drama starts. It just never stops with Amanda. "First of all," I tell Blaise, "I never told her that she was a slut. Second ofa ll she's the one who started this. Again."

"You guys act like she starts everthing."He says.

I give an annyed sigh, "Don't you hear everyone else complaints? Mine, Blakes, Kelsy's, Jordon's, or do you only listen to her?" I glare at Amada. She flinches at my looj.

Blaise doesn't respond because he knows I'm right.

"And she has messed with me the most. Baggering me with her rude opinions and complaints about Marco, and Rosilen, and Marcus, and the twins. I've had enough Blaise."

He turns around and looks at Amanda, "Is it true?"

"...Yes. It is." She answers. I have to grit my teeth to keep the many rude words in my mouth.

"Why? Why start all of this nonsense that didn't need to be started."

"Because I wanted to be on top. I wanted to be more popular than him or the others."

"Don't you understand that you two are more popular thane me? If you ever seen those highscool movies, becoming popular never works out by actling like a bitch."

"Blaise gives a mean look and I raise in eyebrows in challenge. I guess I haven't realised until today how I'm tired of Blaise being leader. My phone buzzes in my pocket but I ignore it."

"Blaise don't you get annoyed by all the drama sometimes? Don't you want things to be peaceful and simple? I just want to know."

"Of course I do. Everything was peaceful and simple-"

"Before Amanda came along and rained on the parade." I finish for him. My phone buzzes again.

Amanda gasps and Blaise looks completely guilty. I close my locker and look at Amanda. "I'm sorry to say this but you ruin everything and I wish  you never joined the group in the first place." I say.
