I'm a bit on the fence about continuing The Devil's Rose, more specifically this rewrite. I do have the first draft of this story posted on Wattpad and decided to dive into Tapas for the rewrite/edits. However, I've been thinking a lot about what I want with my writing lately and so far TDR simply hasn't found a spot in those plans. 

I told myself that by the end of 2021 I would be working towards self-publishing my work. Then at the end of 2020, I talked myself out of that and decided that continuing to post my work for free on a website like Tapas or Wattpad would be better or safer. I've had a rough few weeks, to say the least, and it's had me thinking a lot about future stuff, adult stuff, etc. I've realized that I'm not going to get anywhere by being scared to work towards self-publishing. I've wanted to publish my work for so long, make money off of my work for so long, and work towards the dream of being a successful, published author for so long. None of that is happening by posting on Tapas. 

In the short time I've been here I have grown to love it, but it's just not what I want. The Devil's Rose isn't something I want to work on right now because it's not the style or genre I want to be in anymore. 

Basically what I'm saying is I'm not entirely sure where I stand with The Devil's Rose right now. I don't want to give up on it for the sake of all you lovely people who have been reading and falling in love with my characters, but TDR just isn't what I want right now.
