"It is now or never, I have to decide whether to do it or not," Antonio said to himself in a determined tone.

Antonio Weiss, A seventeen years old teenager who just passed out from his high school. He was intelligent and always topped in his class. He was considered a handsome young teen who is about to become an adult. He was tall, his skin had wheatish complexion, he had straight trimmed black hair which was oiled and combed in a way which enhanced his beauty further. Antonio was considered a kindhearted and generous person but, at the same time was nicknamed as book worm by many of his classmates.

On 17th June 2048. Yesterday, Antonio turned seventeen and was gifted with a set of the newly released Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game [VRMMORPG] called Eternal Battlegrounds along-with all the hardware required to play the game. Antonio had always considered games as wastage of time but, several of his friends are immersed in this game which released a month ago. All his friends forced him to join the game but, he couldn't able to decide until today.

Antonio gazed at the new Spirowyre and the disc of Eternal Battlegrounds while sitting on the wooden desk. He had a shine in his aqua blue eyes and it was then, Antonio got down from the desk and grabbed the Spirowyre, inserted the disc into the drive and connected the one side of the USB [Universal Serial Bus] Cable to the drive and another to the Spirowyre. Wearing the Spirowyre on his head, Antonio laid down on the bed and closed his eyes.

"Begin Now!" Antonio cried while closing his eyes and suddenly several lights flashed across his line of sight before everything blacked out.

Antonio slowly opened his eyes to find himself inside a library. The library had wooden floors that creaked when Antonio take a step forward. There were wooden shelves all around the library and a wooden desk lay in front of him. There was a wooden chair behind the desk and the place seemed deserted.

A feminine voice snapped Antonio out of his thoughts and his vision moved toward the transparent sphere. He slowly walked towards it and placed his hand on the Sphere. As soon as the fingers of his hands touched the Sphere, it started to glow and soon the glow faded away while a panel appeared in front of Antonio.

[Young Adventurer, Please Enter your Name and Select your Gender]

The same feminine voice said in a calm yet appealing tone. Antonio immediately pressed the name option as soon as he heard the instructions. With his nimble and long fingers, Antonio entered the name Antonio and after thinking for a bit he entered his last name as Vanguard. He then moved onto the [Gender] tab and selected his original gender: Male. After doing this, Antonio tapped on [CONFIRM] option and the panel automatically closed.

As soon as Antonio heard the feminine voice's instructions, another panel appeared in front of him and it contained the races which a player could choose from. There were a total of eight races from which a player could choose from. The Races included:

After thinking for some time and reading through all the race descriptions and abilities, Antonio selected [Human] as his race. He again looked at the description written below the boldly written words: Human

A race that relies mostly on their intelligence. It is one of the most balanced races with equal intelligence, strength and defense. This is the prominent race in the empire of Lycia. Humans have the most land acquired in all the continents of Asterium. It is also one of the most advanced races found in the continent of Asterium.

Immediately after Antonio chose his race, Another panel appeared before him which contained the list of all the classes which could be played by [Human] race. The game in total had twenty-two classes from which sixteen classes were available for [Human] race. It included:

Antonio always had the habit of observing and planning before executing something. The same thing he did with the selection of his new character. He again went through all the class descriptions and abilities as well as disabilities of every class before finally selecting [Dragon Knight], the class which suited his thinking and playing style. The abilities of Dragon Knight were also great, it included:

[Taming Special Mount: Dragon, Wyvern]

[Transformation ability: Can turn into a Dragon for a certain time with Dragon stone, available at LEVEL 25]

[Rage Mode: Can go into a rage for a certain time which boosts the stats of the player as well as the whole party.]

[Special Weapon wield: Sword, Battle Axe, Bow]

After Antonio selected the race and class, A large globe appeared before him which had a map of the different places situated in the supercontinent of Asterium. The Globe zoomed into the human empire called Lycia. The Empire of Lycia was divided into Kingdoms and each kingdom was divided into several estates. The World was well organized and well designed by the developers.

"Now, Where it was?" Antonio asked himself while carefully observing the names of the kingdoms marked on the map.

"If I remember correctly, Hector told me that he had chosen his affiliated kingdom as Kalvar and the Estate was Horium," recalled Antonio as he tapped on the territory on the map marked as Kalvar.

"Now, which city?" Antonio asked himself as six different cities appeared on the map.

"I think, The city of Keldar would be the best as it is also the capital of the Kingdom of Kalvar." Antonio thought and tapped on the city of Keldar.
