A woman sat in the middle, she wore an outfit full of colors. Each color connected to the places I saw outside of the room. But the room itself looked like my room from the real world. The woman looked around, “So this is where you are from?” She asks. Her voice was calm and curious. She had dark brown hair and cold green eyes. “Interesting.”
I didn’t say anything, I was very confused. “I am Provence.” She spoke.
“She’s the girl from the story, one of the founders, right?” I thought.
“Yes I am that Province.” She chuckles. “And who are you?” She asks sitting crossed legged on the chair.
“I am Aida.” I answer. “Can you tell me about this place?”
She nods. “This is a little haven called the Garden of Colors. Me and my sister Florence founded it in the year 1893 in order to escape the whole witch thing, we created this place. Each person is placed into a color to live their entire life. It is a perfect balance of things required for life. But anyways each color does something different to support this place. Yellow is our entertainment, they have music, art, acting, and much more. Green is our knowledge, they have teachers, doctors, things like that. Grey is for our dead, you know lots of ghosts there. Blue is our water supply, pretty much water and fish, they know how to have a good beach day I will say that. Purple is the place of magic, I am from there. Orange is our food supply. Finally red, our protection, they basically don't do anything unless there is an invasion which has only happened once.”
That is a lot to process in one speech, the speech sounded rehearsed too. I don’t think she realised the human brain can only take so much information at once. I nodded “And where does that leave me?”
She looked at me like you would an innocent child and said “Oh dear you are so ignorant it is adorable.”I didn’t like that, but probably shouldn’t yell at the creepy ghost lady. “You have to take the test. And since you missed- you’re 16 right?” I nod and she continues “So you missed 16 years of education. So you will be given about a week to get the basics and that should be good enough.”
