"Harlyn!" a familiar voice screamed in a muffled tone.

"Hey! Wake up!" it continued.

As I try to open my eyes it couldn't.
I felt like my whole body was paralyzed.

I still couldn't move until—

Smack!

My eyes open wide because of the ache that builds on my right cheek.
"oww..." I groaned.

I lifted up my torso and rested my arms at the back of it.

As my vision starts to clear up.
I notice Crystal and Lei sitting beside me.

"You didn't have to slap it that hard you know!" Crystal advised to Lei.

"Well it was worth it." Lei said calmly.

I was still confused. As I look around there were tall trees and grasses. The sky was clear blue with small clouds.

Lei stood and went to Zhara where she wanders around the long river near us.

"Where are we now?" I asked without being surprised at all.

"Well... We're literally in forest right now." Crystal explained.

"It's probably the second game." She added.

I stood up and cleaned the back of my skirt.
As I look down I noticed the dried blood stain on my polo.

"Wait... We didn't take a bath yet? I clearly remember that I did..." I questioned my self trying to remember if I really did take a bath.

"Yeah we did. But I guess Tia brought back our clothes whenever we're on a game?" Crystal explained while being unsure.

"Here." Crystal offered me a hair tie.

I took it from her palm and tied my long straight Black hair in a quick bun.

"Thanks." I responded.

We walked towards Lei and the others on the river.

"Good morning sleepy head." Lei greeted with sarcasm.

I gave her a sarcastic smile and massage my cheek that felt really sore.

"Aww did it hurt that much? I'm sorry I really did mean it." She added.

I wrinkled my nose as I look at her confusedly.

It took long enough for me to process the reason of my aching cheek.

My expression changed into a serious mad look and glared at her.

"You little piece of sh—" Crystal's anger was about to burst it all out but I managed to control her temper by pulling her away from Lei .

"This isn't a good time killing this whore." Crystal mumbled as we walk towards the tall trees.
"But it'll come one day, just you wait."
She added.

I scoffed. It wasn't a big deal. But seeing Crystal act so protective over me makes me laugh. I guess I'm really lucky to have her. She always took care of me since we were little. While my mom was busy working away. Crystal would always take me to her house. We always played together, ate together, even bathed together when we were little. She was always there for me.

"Alright should we cross the river now?" Charlotte suggested as she walks to us holding lots of blue berries on her palm.

"This is the only thing i could find."
She offered the handful berries on her two palms.

"That probably enough. Thank you Charlotte." I thanked her.

Charlotte smiled and gave us all some berries and kept the left ones on a pack that she made from the sleeves of her uniform.

As we cross the river we had to take of our shoes to keep it dry.

We walked for hours into the humongous forest.

"Can we pause? Im running out of breath you guys." Zhara kept panting.

"Alright." Lei agreed and sat on a log with Zhara.

"Is this it?" Crystal asked loudly.
We all stared at her confusedly.

"What I meant is that is this the 2nd game? What do we even need to do?"
She explained.

"Actually i also don't know..." Lei responded.

As we all quiet down we hear as sudden growl from behind Lei and Zhara.

Zhara looked behind slowly unsure of what she heard.

Lei was also confused so she also looked behind her back.

Zhara tightened her grip to Lei's Polo.

They both looked frightening.
We were also confused because we Crystal and Charlotte was further away from them.

"Hey." Crystal called.
"What's wrong?" she asked.

They both looked at her with fear in their eyes.

The started signaling something with their hand gestures but we couldn't understand.

"Wha—" I covered Crystal's mouth with my palm.

There was a creature behind them just now.

When I turned my gaze back to them the creature began to run towards us quickly.

"RUN!" Lei yelled.

My eyes opened wide.

There was a Long legged, Eyeless, bloody creature running towards them fast.

We didn't hesitate and ran as fast as we can away from that creature.

"What the hell is that!?" Charlotte screamed while running beside us.

"How would we know!?" Lei yelled back.

We all ran together around the forest until—

A huge figure appeared in the air and launched in front of us.

My foot tripped and I fell on my back.

It began to roar with its large, pointy Teeths.

I began to crawl back away from it while it slowly approaches us.

I felt someone pull me up from my fall and pulled me quickly running back.

As I brought my gaze at the back it was Charlotte.

"Run faster!" She warned me.

I let go of her grasp and ran on my own.

I started thinking if ways to kill it without even having a knife or a gun.
As I look around running towards Lei and the others.

I spotted a large broken tree branch with a sharp end in front of us.

"There!" I pointed it out and they all looked at it.

" We run towar— towards there!" I said while running out of breath.

"To kill it!" I yelled with the little breath left that I could release.

The nodded and changed direction towards the branch.

We were near towards it.
"Slide!" I yelled and closed my eyes, sliding underneath the broken branch.

Slashed.

I felt a liquid dripping on my head.
As I open my eyes and glared up.

The pointy part of the branch slashed the creatures jaw open.

The fear starts to fade away from my thoughts.

We were safe.
