Aria’s POV:
Tomorrow, we're heading towards the Island of Freedom, a place where many couples wish to have their honeymoon or their wedding. The fee costs at least 9 silver per person, and if I were to invite everybody I knew it would be over 200 silver or, 2 small gold. But we're having a small wedding, only for our friends and some close family members. My father, mother, my sister are coming, while only Ethan's mother and uncle wished to attend the wedding ceremony.
All our friends from Windward Crew are of course invited, a total of 99 silver for our family. In the meantime, we have to pay the fee to enter the small boat, only suitable for the crew and less than 20 people. We also have to pay the fee of a doctor for uneventful injuries. A total of 4 silver per day for the great crew, picked by Ethan with an additional fee for the boat, 15 silver, and 4 for the doctor nominated by Elder Claire.
"A total of 142 silver," I whisper to myself as I am finishing packaging, the last bag for the six days journey for the sea and back.
The night is drawing closer for the fateful day, the feeling of coldness surrounds my body. As I breathed I could see the mist from my mouth. I need to shut the window. I think to myself as I am walking closer to the window looking out to the horizon, seeing the light be quenched by darkness. As the sun was gone, I could feel a warm sensation in my belly, a warm and live full feeling, a beautiful feeling.
"Wake up!" I yell towards Ethan who barely is alive.
"What time is it?" he manages to respond, as he shuts his eyes close, wishing to go back to sleep.
"It's 8 AM, come on! We have to get to the port by 10. If we miss the set time, you won't be allowed to be drinking with Andrew and Fredrick for the left of the year!" I threaten the lazy man.
"Not my beers!" he yells out, grasping for the imaginary beer in front of him.
"Come on, get up" I reply, "breakfast is ready," I say, causing him to bolt out of the bed and right downstairs. It's always the food.
We took a horse-drawn wooden carriage for 20 bronze, down to the port, where we are going to depart. As we travel with the carriage to the village, we pass the church and pray for a great voyage.
"May thy lord bless us, with smooth sailing," I hear Ethan mutter as he bows down towards the church.
We move up north with our luggage, around 4 kilometers towards the coast.
As we reach the top of the hill, we see the sea. Surrounded with a calming aura, but with an internal ferocious current beneath. The sun causing the sea to sparkle, with some crescent-shaped clouds above, formed by the water vapor. Sharp big rocks littered in the sea past the crescent-shaped port.
"Look! There they are!" Ethan exclaims, pointing towards the carriage before us. I notice one woman, draped in green with a long staff, Reinna.
"HEY!" Ethan shouts, waving towards the carriage before us. Only Andrew notices the noise from behind and yells out "YOU'RE SLOW!" with a grin.
We meet up in the ports central area, where many street salesmen place their stands. With people of all colors, everyone having fun like a festival, cherishing their time like there is no tomorrow. We pass this man, showing his fire magic as a party trick towards young children, all of them watching in awe and amazement.
"This is something you may be able to do, in the future!" I hear the red draped man, showing a bright red flash at the end of the sentence while Ethan is joking around with Andrew and Fredrick.
"So I did this, and later that!" is all that I could hear from their conversation while we ladies, walk behind them snickering about how men are so gullible.
"So how is it with the baby bump?" Reinna asks in her adventure attire, tight white expendable silk, infused with rune magic for better protection. With her hair up in a ponytail, with a silver headband together with a green robe over her shoulders down to her hips.
"The baby bump is doing fine, and it's still well and kicking, literally," I respond with a joking demeanor.
"What do you think it will be?" Diane asks, jumping on Reinna's shoulder, shoving her down, messing her hair up.
"I think it's a boy, but I hope it will be a girl," I respond, putting my palm on my stomach a warm sensation pushing through towards my palm.
"And, he's gonna be really strong, I can feel it," I mutter, only Lilith manages to hear it and asks, "Can I train him? Later on of course!"
Lilith is short and small, but if you underestimate her, you would be dead. She's a training monster and wishes to stand on top of any people who look down on her. She's fast and agile, able to dodge almost every attack at point-blank without any mana enhancement.
"Yeah sure, but don't overkill it!" I respond, looking to the right beside me.
"Sure, I can manage it!" Lilith responds, looking quite excited to train with someone, in the future.
"I can help manage the training regiment, and make sure she doesn't overkill it," Amber butts in, with her hand on my shoulder.
"Let's continue this conversation later, and when I say later, I mean in like nine years," I announce, looking quite sternly at Lilith.
"It's a promise?" she asks.
"Sure, I guess," I answer.
"You're finally here!" we hear the shouting from the brown wooden boat.
The boat is painted in the front with blue wavy color, with a beautiful blue flower, a Plava Arachnid flower. The Plarachnid flower grows deep under the sea, born from the blood of a sea spider, a poisonous spider. Classified as an AA-ranked mana monster, small as a pebble, but the poison in the blood can kill 50 people, while the flower can plague 100 people.
"Come on! We depart in 20!" the big sailor shouts towards our group.
We head onboard the decently sized boat, with the latest magic artifacts and safety strapped to the wooden boat. "It's been a while, Eric," the sailor, with a big stomach yelled. The man is as tall as Fredrick and noisy as Andrew,
We cross the small bridge and appear to be rocks littered everywhere beneath the surface level.
"Oi! I have told you to stop calling me by my middle name!" Ethan retorts.
"Well, I haven't seen you for years. And it's the only name I remember about you, the time you forgot your own name," the sailor reminisced, and Ethan turning red by embarrassment.
"Oh, you must be the unlucky lady, marrying this guy," the sailor announced jokingly.
"Oh, forgive me, we haven't met before. My name is Donovan, I'm more or less Ethan's, f-" I managed to hear before Ethan cut him off "Uncle, he's just my uncle".
"Nice to meet you, I'm Aria," I greet Donovan with a handshake.
"The pleasure is all mine," he returns.
"Welcome on board, to our little ship, The Thorned Plarachnid!"
