"I will start with agility and end with strength so that I can push my skill to the limit to achieve at least a good result in the last..." pondered Ayden.
The ability he has as an enlightened person is called "Body enhancement." So far, the information he knows about his power is that it allows him to improve all aspects of his body for a certain period. His deceased father possessed a similar skill, but the one he inherited is much weaker compared to and still causes a big burden on his body.
The strangest thing is that they say that this ability made him be born with a tattoo on his hand.
If so, why in the single photo taken after his birth, before the accident, the tattoo was not present in his hand? He is not the first human to be born with some kind of marking on the body due to an ability, so this was not considered strange.
Deep down, Ayden has a feeling that this tattoo in the shape of a spiral galaxy has some more meaning that he has yet to discover.
"Well, enough thinking, let's go!" thought Ayden as he walked towards the agility test.
Concurrently, the augmented reality timer appears, and the countdown begins. Ayden takes a deep breath and starts activating his ability.
It is possible to observe tiny rays of energy of an indigo blue color being emitted from his eyes. Ayden can feel his vision getting slightly sharper.
The test begins. Ayden goes through the first minute calmly. Still, thirty seconds later, he started to have difficulties dodging the balls. Thanks to his skill being focused only on the eyes, he managed to last a total of two minutes.
"Just two minutes ... and now I'll have to deal with my blurred vision ..." murmured Ayden internally. As his skill is weak, he has to force his vision a lot, resulting in this collateral feat. Fortunately, the subsequent tests will not need much of his eyes.
Most students fail at one minute and twenty seconds, so it's not a bad result, but also a not impressive one.
"Now, the target destruction test, unfortunately, I don't have any kind of long-distance skills, so it will have to be the old-fashioned way."
Ayden is positioned in the marked place. Numerous targets appear, five, ten, and fifteen meters away, accompanied by the stopwatch.
He again activates his ability. The rays of energy this time are seen coming out of both legs. He can feel them becoming more flexible and lighter, considerably improving his agility.
As soon as the timer gives the signal, Ayden runs towards the first target at a reasonable speed and punches the training dummy. Then he continues running towards the target located another five meters ahead and executes a simple kick. Now just one more to go.
He starts to feel some muscle pain coming from the lower part of his body.
"Not now! Just one more!" he said with a slightly frowning expression as he started running again towards the last target.
As soon as he faces the last target, suddenly, his legs can't take the pressure anymore, causing him to trip and fall face down before he can hit the dummy. The test is ended.
8 Points.
"lol! In addition to falling ugly on the ground, he still managed a mediocre score of 8 points!" exclaimed a member of group six.
"My god! I would be feeling extremely embarrassed!" said a member of group nine.
It is possible to hear laughter and mockery among all groups.
"Shit! How am I going to get a good rank like that ?!" rising heavily from the ground on wobbly legs, instead of feeling embarrassed, Ayden is disappointed in himself.
Without paying much attention to everything that is happening, he walks with difficulty to the strength test.
"He seems to have an interesting skill ... but it looks like she puts a cumbersome burden on her body," thought Myles amidst the students' laughs. "Silence!" he said in a loud and clear voice so that all students at the training center can hear.
Ayden is already facing the machine responsible for the strength test. There is no reason for him to be two meters away, as he will not be able to run or jump to generate more strength.
He closes his eyes and starts to focus.
"I'm going to put as much energy as I can into the muscles responsible for biomechanics in the punch movement!" He thought as rays of energy began to appear mainly through his arm and other parts around the body, making the muscles more robust and powerful.
After making all the preparations, it is possible to see countless rays of energy circulating around Ayden's body, which is in an attack posture, sweating considerably.
"Now!" He exclaimed as he opened his eyes and executed the punch towards the machine.
Bang!
He looks anxiously at the number that will appear on the panel.
23 points!
"Thank God!" Thought Ayden, easing his expression.
At the moment, he can't feel any pain in his body, perhaps due to the moment's adrenaline? He starts walking towards the device responsible for collecting blood, but soon after the blood is collected and he is about to return to the testing area, his vision becomes blurred and dark.
"What's happening?" he thought for a moment.
Suddenly, he passes out.
Everyone present at the training center is gaping, including the teacher. Still, oddly enough, this is not due to the fact that Ayden passed out.
On the screen of the device responsible for showing the result of the blood test ...
[Genetic potential: 100/100!]
No one can believe what is happening before their eyes.
After leaving his dazzle, professor Myles calls the medical team to take the boy to the infirmary before continuing the test with the rest of the students.
"It seems to me that these three years are going to be busier than I imagined," murmured the man after letting out a heavy sigh.
