As Niel looked at the message telling him about his newly acquired power, the creature noticed the situation despite not looking away from its writings for a second, then it said.
{I assume you've already got the results of the supreme stat random box.}
Hearing this strong voice shaking him, Niel immediately focuses his attention on the creature and calmly replies.
"Yes, I got a jackpot."(Niel)
He says believing it is useless to try and lie, to the being in front of him, since this is a creature that's supposedly much more than the gods themselves.
{Quite a lucky of you, I must say this is a good development for your growth, it's not every day someone gets the 11th prize from the supreme stat random box, 50 points more to any stat at your choice isn't a bad start, so, use them accordingly.}
"You don't have to worry about that cause I'm just greedy enough to know what I need to get what I want."(Niel)
(So, this [Writer] thing doesn't know I have the number 1 prize. Good to know that even those above gods aren't omniscient.)(Niel)
Seeing how the creature reacted to his answer, Niel was relieved to know that even beings of such power aren't just all-knowing.
{Now, your time here has been more than enough. you got a unique ability and even an extra so do yourself a favor and don't die before you pay me back, or you'll regret it.}
"Believe me, I don't have any wish to die."(Niel)
{It's time for you to leave, I hope you find starting from zero delightful. Oh, and say hi to those simpletons for me.}
"What-"(Niel)
Before Niel could even ask about what the creature meant with its words, a bright light enveloped him as he started disappearing from the room.
Once the light completely disappeared, the creature stopped writing for the first time, and the face hidden in a robe with purple eyes gleaming like gems.
{Oh, what a bother, it looks like I'm late to the party. I must say I didn't expect you to go to this extent to change things.}
A new individual appeared out of thin air and said to the creature known as [The writer], while slowly approaching it, with a big smile and their face hidden behind a mask.
The new individual is wearing an eccentric white suit, with modifications and accessories you would only see in fantasy while wearing a black mask that only covers half their face.
Their voice young and tricky, as if a mischievous child ready to prank someone.
{Just like you said, you're too late. Leave before I decide to show you the way out.}
[The Writer] said with a very calm and unworried tone and its expression hidden under the hood.
{Oh please, no need to be so rude. We're old friends, aren't we? Remember all the good times.}
{I remember almost killing you the last time.} [The Writer]
{That's so rude, not really surprising coming from you. What about we drink a few cups for the good times?}
The masked individual asks as a beer appears on their hand out of thin air.
{You know I don't drink beer.} [The Writer]
{No longer a man, still with those same old habits, just one cup won't kill you.}
{Cut the crap and tell me what you did to ruin my plans.} [The Writer]
{Hehehehhe, oh my! What a direct individual!... All I did was send a few obstacles for your little toy.}
{Why must you always interfere?} [The Writer]
{You know the answer, don't you dare to play dumb with me. So? Are you having a cup or not?}
The masked individual asked again as they moved the beer bottle closer to [The Writer].
____________________________________________
In another space, the whole area was nothing but a very simple white, all the surroundings and as far as the eye can see there's only white. This place that seems to hold nothing now has a pink-haired young man standing in the middle of it.
This young man is looking around to no avail as there's no one and nothing around, realizing that the young man decides to sit.
"Did I go through all that trouble before to end up dead? Or is this place the illustrious cliche white room?"
This young man says as he comes to think that everything he has been through up until now could have been for nothing. This thought makes him sigh and lay back, as his expression slowly turns into that of unpleasantness and disappointment, and this followed by him speak again.
"I've just got a new trauma for nothing, isn't this great? Something I can remember and cry about every single time, and here I thought I could be lucky."
The young man monologues with the same expression of unpleasantness and closes his eye as he breathes deeply then exhales that air.
{What is the meaning of this? Which one of you summoned another one?}
A strong voice resounded in all of the white as if it was everywhere at the same time. The voice in question sounds like a weaker version of [The writer]'s voice.
{Of course not, which one of us do you think would do that?}
Another one said with a softer and calming voice.
{None of us. Regardless of how this human got here, we have to solve it before it gets out of hand.}
The first voice said with a calmer aura to its words.
{Yes, I must agree on that. Hum You, human, do you know where you were before appearing here?}
The second voice said with its calming and soft voice.
(I assume these are the gods of Origo. I'll say I was at Booba software.)
The young man thought to himself as he heard one of the voices ask him a question.
"I was at Booba software... I was there to be a beta tester for the new gaming system."
{Oh, I see... It seems you were just late.}(second voice)
{There were only supposed to be 12, not 13 of them. We don't have time for this!}(Fist voice)
{But we can't just abandon him like that!}(second voice)
{Why not? He's just one human! We are trying to save billions.}(Fist voice)
{That's not the problem! We can't do this after being responsible for his presence here.}(second voice)
{You don't know if he came because of the summoning! If you wish to help him that much, do it, but I have more important matters to worry about than this.}(Fist voice)
The first voice said before going completely quiet as it seems, this entity is no longer present.
{Please don't take it to heart, he would have helped you if it weren't for the current situation, now, let's get you ready.}(second voice)
(They say crises show what kind of man you are, and even though I disagree, it has some truth to it.)
Hearing the second voice defend the first's actions, the young man found himself thinking.
"Ready for what?"
{For your new life?}(second voice)
"New life?"
{Oh yes, let me start from the beginning. You accepted abandoning your world to live a new one in ours, the world known as Origo.}(second voice)
(I never accept, but I died because of you.)
{What is your name, young man?}(second voice)
"I'm Niel Kross."
{You're oddly calm, but I guess that's good.}(second voice)
"I guess so, anyway, how do you intend to prepare me for this so-called new life?"(Niel)
{Simple, you're going to choose your race, job, and class. Of course, almost no one ever gets to do this, so choose wisely.}(second voice)
"Wait, before that, shouldn't you at least explain a bit about this so-called Origo World."(Niel)
{Well, that explaining would happen after, but if you want it now, so be it. Origo is a world of swords and magic where 3, continents with varying degrees of technology and magical knowledge, exist.}(second voice)
The voice stopped but then proceeded to talk more about Origo.
{In this world, various races coexist despite the occasional wars. Beast people, humans, demons, scaled-kin, demi-humans, water-folk, spirit-folk, monsters, and misc; all these form the basic structure of the races in this world.}(second voice)
"Misc, like in miscellaneous? Isn't that a rather offensive way to classify a race?"(Niel)
{That spot is exactly for non-classified races.} (second voice)
"That explains it, so how does this whole choose your race process work?"(Niel)
{Now from all the 9 nine races, you have to choose one then you'll get to choose a species inside that race.} (second voice)
"Oh, can I ask you which race has the best potential?"(Niel)
{Oh, greedy, you might regret that choice, but if you really want to know it's one of the miscellaneous species, and they are known as mana folk.}(second voice)
"Might I know why it's regrettable?"(Niel)
{They have a lot of potential but they are also very slow to grow in level because of it, and they even need to be careful with mana for their survival, but that aside I believe you would appreciate the long lifespan.} (second voice)
"I'll risk it, you won't succeed if you don't take some high-end risk when it matters."(Niel)
[You have selected the mana folk species from the miscellaneous Race.]
A message popped up the moment Niel made his decision.
{Good, you decided that quite fast, most people take a very long time, I hope you don't come to regret this decision.}
"I probably will, but someday I'll thank myself for taking this risk."(Niel)
{You're quite odd, greedy but not exactly typical, predictable but not really easy to understand. I'll keep note of you. Now for the next part is to pick your job, and let me guess you want the job with the most potential?} (second voice)
"Oh, I'm very happy we are starting to understand each other, and yes if you don't mind. But before that what exactly is a job."(Niel)
{Once, you understand what you're doing to yourself you'll probably curse at these choices, but since you to the one with the most potential is the universal adapt, and jobs are just non-combat classes, everyone has one job and one class which define which skills you have a better affinity towards and are easier for you to learn. While classes are similar to your human RPG games, where your character will be good at a combat style and weapon type depending on your class, it's the same here.} (second voice)
"So, job are things like cook, tailor, blacksmith and so on? While classes are composed of warrior, rogue, mage, and so on?"(Niel)
{Exactly! So will you at least look at the other options?} (second voice)
(I have a deal to fulfill, and I will need as much potential as I can get, besides I've always loved new and wild experiences.)(Niel)
Niel thought as he calmly gambled with his life.
"No worries, you said universal adapt correct?"(Niel)
{Yes.} (second voice)
"Then that's the one I want."(Niel)
[You have selected Universal adapt as your job.]
{I'm seriously starting to took you're a lunatic for calmly doing something like this? Aren't you worried any of this isn't what you want?} (second voice)
"If I discover you lied to me, I'll become a god slayer."(Niel)
He said with a calm smile.
{Hahahaha! I'll wish you good luck on that endeavor.} (second voice)
"So, about the class?"
{I know, the one with the most potential is Magical Combatant, which is a variant of Spellsword created a couple of years ago.}(second voice)
"Created? How exactly does that work?"(Niel)
{That's pretty simple, even though everyone only has one job and one class, it doesn't mean they are bound to them completely. It's not easy to do but people can change job and class under certain conditions. Now on how to create a new class or job, for that, you need an understanding of some already existing classes or jobs and then learn the skills you believe you need and experiment with them, if your style or the way you combine skills is recognized by the [Universe's voice], you will be given the chance to make your own job or class.} (second voice)
"Oh, that's pretty interesting. Now I choose magical combatant."(Niel)
[You have selected Magical Combatant as your class.]
"Good, now tell me about Universal adapt and magical combatant."(Niel)
{Only after selecting them you worry about it?}(second voice)
"I can just change them right now if I feel like it, isn't that right?"(Niel)
{Oh, so you knew? Anyway, magical combatants are a class that mixes military and martial arts called combat arts with magic, some also use magic with weapons, but the class is mostly close combat focus but some people also focus on long-range combat with it. The class is quite rare and you might never meet one your entire life.} (second voice)
"Not bad, this is just the kind of stuff I love. Magic-focused classes aren't my thing. But this is nice."(Niel)
{As for universal adapt, it's a job that can only be described as a jack of trades and master of none. You can learn any non-combat job faster than normal people but you're also slower than someone focused on said Job, and you have no specialty.}(second voice)
"I like that, even if I'll eventually need the help of some masters at their jobs, this means I can also tap into it and maybe avoid paying overcharged prices."(Niel)
{Your way of looking at it is hum... Interesting.} (second voice)
"Don't worry, I understand these classes will be a problem and hindrance if I don't properly hone them, so now, what happens next?"(Niel)
{You will be now reborn into this world.}(second voice)
"Reborn?! As in from birth?!"(Niel)
He was startled to hear that from the voice.
{Good luck, I have become something interesting.} (second voice)
Just as the voice said before Niel could say anything else he started disappearing until no trace of his presence was left there.
{What a careless human... I guess he's a mana folk now, well I hope he doesn't die too young, but it will be funny to say I told you in his face.... OH NO! I almost forgot I have to go watch over my [Chosen Apostle]!} (second voice)
The voice went silent after saying that and white room was now completely silent.
