Jet shook his head and then started off after Ceria, whose figure was already blotting out by the darkness. She wiped her eyes as she sat down on the ground, her back against an old truck as she cried. She pulled her tank around her a little tighter, feeling the pain from her lip and nose as she sat there. Jet swallowed hard as he started toward her and stopped, seeing her pull her gun and aim it at him. “It is just me, Jet.” He put his hands up after tossing her his gun and walking toward her slowly, knowing she would shoot him and didn’t blame her. She got up quickly and looked at him as she swallowed hard again and wiped her bloodied face as he stood there, blinking a little. “Here.. um” he took his jacket off and tossed it to her as she glared at him knowing if she couldn’t trust the ones she knew how could she trust someone she just met not to mention both trying the same thing only with Jet it was different. Even if she was still scared, she wanted him there right now.. She knelt down the ground to his jacket, her gun still aimed at him as she picked it up and put the jacket on one arm at a time, keeping the gun on him. He took a step forward, pulling out a rag, and put out his hand. Ceria took in a small breath and reached over to the rag and grabbed it gently, daubing her lip and nose, wiping off the fresh blood that pumped through her veins from being scared.
She looked at him, lowering the gun as he took another cautious step toward her. Jet opened the water bottle he had brought with him and took a drink and handed it to her as she put the gun away and took a drink and wet the rag sliding down to the ground, cleaning herself off. Jet looked at her and frowned. “Ceria,“ he whispered, “Don’t worry, no one will hurt you, are you alright?” she shrugged, unsure how to answer as he sat next to her picking up his gun and putting it away. A good hour went by as they sat there in silence, hearing Helia scream at Raven, seeing his face bloodied while Roy and Burt cussed at him for what he did. Jet sighed as he sat there with her smoking a cigarette with her and looked up at the sky and then back over at her as she sat here cuddled in his jacket, her face cleaned up and hair pulled back in to a ponytail. Jet looked over at her as he reached over for the rag. Ceria caught his hand as she glared at him, the gun pointed at him. He shook his head as he reached over with his other hand and grabbed the rag off her knee and wiped his face off with it. She put the gun down as she watched him, her hand still a hold of his wrist, ready to burst in to tears as he sat there with her and spoke. “I won’t hurt you Ceria, it is ok.” She took a breath as she let his wrist go but her hand still in his as she sat back on the truck next to him. She brought up her other hand, wiping another tear away as he gently interlocked his fingers with hers. She closed her eyes, tears starting again as she slowly slumped, leaning against him as he froze for a moment and swallowed, glancing toward her head and then looking down. Letting her lean on him a little.
They sat there for a bit, not moving, as he smoked a cigarette, letting her stay right there even after she scooted toward him, feeling cold. They jumped, hearing my name being called by Fawn. He looked over his shoulder at Fawn, who was walking in their direction as she turned toward Jet and placed a hand on his thigh, tapping him. “Jet, I don’t look too bad, do I? I mean, if Fawn sees me like this, she will freak out. Jet sighed as he swallowed, touching her chin gently, looking her over, brushing some dirt from her cheek with his thumb, and smirked as she looked away from him, hiding her eyes a little before he spoke. “You know if it was so damn hot during the day you could keep your hair down.” She glanced back up at him, it being a little too dark to see him as she spoke. “Why? “ He grinned as he brought his other hand up and gently placed it on her cheek. “Cause your kind of cute with your hair down.” She smirked as she brushed his hand from her cheek, grinning more and she got up dusting herself off. Ceria looked toward the ground and swallowed hard, beginning to take off the jacket.
He stopped her and shook his head. “Don’t worry about it, ok I will get my jacket back after you feel a little better and I’m sorry for not getting there sooner.” She nodded, pulling the sleeve back on and putting her hands in her back pocket as Fawn walked toward them and stopped. “There you are, Ceria, are you ok? Raven has been balling for the past hour because of what he did and your father almost had kittens since then. She bit her bottom lip as Fawn looked over at Jet and smirked, placing a hand on her hip. “Thank you again, Jet, for saving Ceria.” Fawn grabbed Ceria’s hand and pulled her with her as she started back toward the caravan. Jet watched them as they walked away as he leaned over on the truck and grinned, lighting up a cigarette and taking a drag, sighing. “Not a problem.” He swallowed hard as he heard a beep and rolled his eyes, pulling out a tracking device. He grumbled as he flipped the screen on and looked at a man in his 30s with long black hair and an eye patch over his right eye. Jet swallowed, placing a hand over his chest, and looked at him. “Hunter, I have entered the camp as one of theirs. The brothers are here as well as their offspring, awaiting your command.” Hunter grinned as he looked at him and spoke. “Ah Jet, good seems like the act you put on worked, I thank you. Now it is time to learn where the camp’s weakness is and travel with them to Farland where we will apprehend them and finally be rid of that group of misfits that continue to ruin our plans of controlling the people inside the walls of Farland.“ He nodded as he grinned at him. “Yes sir it will be done.” Jet looked down and put the device back in his pocket and sighed staring to rethink things as he stood there thinking about Ceria and the others now unsure if the orders he was given were worth it, just for an empty cause and shook his head starting back toward the camp as he placed his hand in to his pocket and walked.
Fawn grinned at Ceria as she leaned on her shoulder. The bright yellow fire burned as Ceria placed her hand on the sleeve of the jacket Jet let her wear and sighed. She swallowed, knowing it was the second time Jet stepped in. She sighed, knowing she had been getting more and more reckless. Raven looked over at her, feeling terrible now, sitting next to a few of the other younger men, drinking some water. Raven looked over at her and frowned, remembering what Jet had said. Soon Jet sauntered up, making Raven sit up and looked at him wide eyed as Jet smirked. Ceria looked over her shoulder seeing him as Fawn rubbed her head and looked over at Jet grinning she patted the milk crate beside her. Jet smirked as he walked over, sitting next to her. Roy walked over to him and put out a hand shaking it as Ceria watched the two talking and stood dusting herself off and pulling the jacket off and handed it back over to Jet who looked at her confused seeing her should scraped a little dried blood dried to her skin as she started toward two of the older men playing guitars providing music.
