The process of initialization of the system was relatively fast, and then it asked Niel a question. 

(Just call me N-.... Actually, call me Lord...) Niel wanted to say his name at first, but then the idea that he could be treated with such a title, as it seems he forgot he's now the son of a noble.

(I could get used to this hehe... Ahem, what I need now is to see my job, class, level, and so on.) Niel was happy to get called lord for the first time in both of his lives and he liked how it sounded, then he focused and talked about what matters.

(Isn't this pretty long?!... And Level 0? That's even possible?) Niel was surprised by the length of the status screen but then started looking through it, and the first thing that caught his attention was he level.

[My lord, almost all newborn beings start at level 0, with some exceptions in the Monster and Misc race.]

(If that's the case, then I'm fine, now tell me what exactly is rating and why it says average.) Niel asked a different question once the first one was answered.

[Rating is the classification of an individual among their peers. It tells apart special individuals, from the average ones. Those with high rating have higher stats and attributes but grow at a slower pace, even so since they are some capable than the rest they stay at the top even with a lower level. The rating ranges from Useless, weak, average, good, talented, elite, genius, prodigy.]

(So, I'm average... Well, maybe I'll change that in the future, after all, I have time.) Niel was slightly disappointed but didn't let that bother him, since he's after all just a baby right now.

(Now, what does the mana-heart bloodline give me?) Niel asked.

[The mana-heart bloodline gives my lord an extra mana storage called mana-heart, and this makes it so that my lord can live long and for unexpected situations. If activated it puts my lord in a mana-driven state where my lord's attack, defense, speed, and even power of skills and abilities are amplified, the drawback is that once used not only it greatly weakens my lord but it also has one year of cool down. If abused this state will reduce my lord's lifespan.]

(Something like that is definitely going to be my trump card, and after hearing about the lifespan I really don't want to have to use it.) Niel said internally surprised by this bloodline.

(... Does this mean all Mana folk can do this?)  Niel asked out of curiosity.

[No my lord, there are 4 different bloodlines in the mana folk species. I do not possess information about the other ones besides my lord's.]

(I see, and it's fine if you don't have information... The next thing I want to know about is that Null affinity does it have to do with magic? And if so what type of magic?) Niel was disappointed about the fact the system didn't have any information on the other 3 bloodlines but he believes there's no use in crying about it.

[Null magic is also known as Neutral magic and is composed of spells that don't require any elemental affinity, everyone is born with this affinity. It has some simple spells such as <Clean>, and some more interesting ones like <poison detect>. It is considered by many the miscellaneous category of magic, since there's a wide variety.]

(So, I was only born with the basic magic affinity everyone has? Am I bound to the affinities I'm born with?) Niel asked worried that it would hurt his future growth, after all, he didn't want to know what would happen to him if he failed to fulfill the deal he made with [The Writer].

[Not necessarily, new magical affinities can be developed, but it will take time to do so especially since they can't be developed at the same time. There must be a big-time gap between each elemental affinity developed or your level must be high enough.] 

(Just knowing that I'll be able to develop them is already enough, now about my stats, I assume they on zero because my level is 0 and it's normal. But even if that's the case, WHY IS MY LUCK -1?! Didn't I will a supreme prize?!) Niel firstly said internally what he believed was the situation of his stats then he yelled at the system, not understanding this.

[My lord has no reasons to worry, the status screen simply has no way of representing the infinite symbol, so it used minus one instead. Since people in this world can't have negative values in their status, the minimum value is 0 and in normal cases, it will never go below that.]

(That's a relief, for moments I thought I was scammed... That would have been horrifying...) Niel calmed down after listening to the explanation, and even though there are still some doubts in his heart about everything happening right now he can do nothing, but believe and keep going.

(Go on and explain the infinite luck ability.) Niel said as he moved on to the next part.

[The infinite luck skill is a unique ability that makes my lord's luck stat infinite, but this skill has limitations. Its main effect is for growth it gives the individual an exp multiplier depending on their rank, so for now my lord has a x99 multiplier. It also gives the individual Absolute Luck, Absolute loot special abilities.]

(Are you serious?!) Niel asked to make sure he's not imaging it.

[Yes, my lord is correct]

(That's very good! It's still nerfed and I curse whoever did it but it's never the less groundbreaking! Also, What is rank? I don't see it in my status.) Niel was pissed at the fact such a good ability was nerfed then he asked about something that caught his attention.

[Rank has to do with level advancement, which is the act of reaching level 100 from which then you become a rank 1 also known as rank I, and gain it in your status.]

(Wait, so anyone can just go further than level 100?) Niel asked curious about this.

[No, only those with high enough soul grade and stage can advance to certain levels, so only those with a first-grade soul can go beyond level 100, it's not very uncommon but from then on it gets rarer to find individuals with high enough grade souls to keep advancing.]

(So I can go up to level 800+ as of now! That's amazing... This is the reason that thing even considered making a deal with me, this is indeed good potential.) Niel said surprised and excited by the possibility of one day getting to level 800.

(Not losing the focus, go on with the innate abilities.) Niel said once again focusing on his status.

[They are abilities obtained for belonging to a certain race and specie.]

(So, what are the effects of my innate abilities?) Niel asked.

[Mana-core- is given to all creatures that have a made stone naturally or artificially infused them, as a part of their being. Creatures with this ability develop 2x faster than those without it.]

[Mana inborn- is an ability that gives a greater connection to mana to the individuals who have it, those with this ability are born with the mana manipulation and mana absorption.]

[Mana connection- the usage of mana for magic, skills, and abilities is only 50% of its total value .]

[Mana-powered- survival in harsh environments is possible as long as the individual has mana left, mana consumption for survival varies depending on the environment and conditions. The conversation is for each HP that would be lost in that environment 10 mp will be consumed.]

(These innate abilities will be really useful, not bad.) Niel was satisfied with the abilities his species has.

(Moving on to the next one, tell me about my special abilities.) Niel said calmly.

[Heart of Mana- Provided by the mana-heart bloodline, this ability gives the individual a 100x boost to all stats and will not die for 5 minutes and has a one-year cool-down! Surpassing the 5 minutes limit will result in the reduction of the lifespan of the individual, the rate being 1 year of lifespan per minute. Note that exceeding the MP or HP while in this state will cost a penalty of a year of life per 10% for Hp and 50% for MP.]

[Absolute Luck- For 5 seconds you have infinite luck, and all probability will be on your side. It has a one-week cool-down. The effects do not apply to combat.]

[Absolute loot- Whenever a monster is killed inside of a dungeon or tower, 100% of its possible loot will drop regardless of drop percentage.]

(It's all very impressive, but I've come to notice that, IT'S ALL NERFED! Well, crying won't help... just tell me about my skills now.) Niel was for another time disappointed with all the limitations put in the skills.

[Mana manipulation-lv-1- The usage of mana is leaked to all those who can sense it, and with this skill, only 95% is, and the usage of mana is reduced by 1% for all skills.]

[Mana absorption-lv-1- 5% of the target's mana can be absorbed in total, at a speed of 0.1% per second.]

[Language- manafolkion- This skill allows an individual to speak, write and read the language manafolkion, which is the language of the miscellaneous species Mana folk. All Mana folk are born with it.]

(Even the skills are considerably no... Definitely useful, it's hard to know what kind of situations I'll be faced with in the future so while I'm here, I'll make this time as a baby count and start practicing with <Mana manipulation-lv-1> which is the only skill I can hone right now.) Niel thought to himself as he decided what was going to be done for now, since he had all that free time, he should use it well.

Just as Niel decided what to do, his baby body decided that it's time to sleep, so he could no longer stay awake and fell into a deep slumber.
