Hello,
I'm Dave and I'm dead.
Yeah I know what you are thinking now.
Oh no it's one of these stories. He is probably going to tell me now his Oh so tragic backstory and how he died and shit.
But No!!! This is not about any of that.
It's actually just the story of a cynical bastard who hates his job, dislikes his boss (she is a totally a Karen btw.) and has to deal with his stupid roommate on a daily basis.
It's also about the struggles we all go through in one way or the other.
And yes before you ask my job is being a Grim reaper but it's not as scary or terrifying as you might think.
It's actually way more like being a part time office worker and part time door to door salesmen with some therapist work sprinkled on top.
I also know that this sounds awfully boring and nobody wants to read something like that but that's how life is (well its actually death but you know what I mean). Life is boring, and often sucks really badly but with the help of those who are closest to us we manage somehow keep our head up.
And for those who feel alone I have something my mother always use to tell me:
"there is always a light at the end of the tunnel"
And as a grim reaper I can definitely confirm that so don't worry and just keep walking even if it hard because one day you will see the light.
So what I'm actually trying to say with all of this is don't expect some big tragedy or corny love story but instead the story of me trying to live my life (afterlife) the best way possible with all the ups and downs.
And yeah this is probably not going to change your life or anything but I still hope you can maybe learn something from it or at least it will put a smile on your face.
I have learnt one thing from my working field that you should all try to live your lives to the fullest and make the best out of it because one day it will be over and I will probably be the one who has to deal with you then.
A/N (Important!!! This book deals with heavy themes like death, depression, suicide in a dark comedically tone!!!)
Btw if you feel to uncomfortable with the topic of a chapter you can skip it and still understand the story. The chapters are mostly self contained and only have an slight overarching storyline.
