After about ten minutes Jaxon made it back to his house, luckily for him, Shane was lighter than he looked. 

“Come on we gotta go in the back,” Jaxon said as he set Shane down. 

“Woah dude, nice motorcycle. Where'd you get that one? You don't see this model around much more, especially in this mint condition.” Shane said as he ran over to the motorcycle in the driveway. Jaxon was surprised he had never seen that motorcycle before, where had it come from? 

“That's not mine, even though I wish it was. Just leave it alone Shane.” Jaxon said as he made his way around the house. 

“Hey, maybe your mom finally came around and got you one,” Shane said as he followed Jaxon around the house. 

“Shane you know my mom, rethink that sentence,” Jaxon said as he opened a window. 

“Yeah you're right she would never do that. She might buy you a tricycle if you're a good boy.” Shane laughed as Jaxon climbed into the storage room. He was tempted to close the window and leave Shane outside. 

“I wish it was mine, that one’s a good make and model.” Jaxon sighed as he helped Shane through the window. 

“You can always hope dude, maybe she’ll come around one day.” Shane shrugged as Jaxon closed the window. 

“Why do you always sneak around man? Just walk through the front door.” Shane said as he moved a box out of the way. 

“Yeah might as well just sign a suicide note at that point Shane.” Jaxon huffed as he rolled his eyes. Suddenly the door to the closet slammed open. Jaxon and Shane screamed as Shane threw himself into his arms. Shane was still freaking out as Jaxon looked over at who opened the door. He had been sure it was his mom, he did not expect to see a girl around his age standing in the doorway. Jaxon was struck speechless, the girl was beautiful. She had shiny copper hair that was put up in a ponytail but looked like it would lay perfectly at her shoulder blades. She had freckles that spread across her cheeks and nose that were sweetly hidden against her tan skin. The only thing close to a defect on her face was a jagged-looking scar that went from under her eye down to her chin. Her eyes, however, her eyes are what caught him off guard. They were the most intriguing color blue he had ever seen, he didn't even know eyes could be that color blue. Jaxon felt his heart flutter as her eyes met his, his stomach did flips as her eyes lingered on him for just a moment longer than they should have. 

“Please don’t kill us!” Shane sobbed breaking Jaxon out of his trance. Jaxon sighed and dropped Shane on his ass. 

“Ow! What the hell man!” Shane whined as he stood up and rubbed his ass. 

“Let me guess your Jaxon and Shane?” The girl asked, sounding a little snarky and rude. Even her voice was beautiful, but how in the hell did she know his name. 

“For clarification, he's Jaxon and I'm Shane, and if you need to choose one of us to kill or rob, go with Jaxon. He's rich and he's the stronger of us two.” Shane said, hiding behind Jaxon. 

“Thank you, Shane.” Jaxon sighed as he rubbed his temples. Shane was gonna be what killed him one day and this was proof. 

“Oliver talked all about you two.” the girl said, staring at them expressionlessly. Even though she showed no emotions she reminded him of an angle. 

“Who are you, may I ask?” Jaxon asked politely, staring at her. 

“You may ask but I'm not gonna tell you. Who I am isn't important, I work with you mom. I'm here to go over some papers with her.” The girl said, glaring at him. Ok so maybe she didn't act like an angel and was more terrifying than anything, there was just something about her that he couldn't put his finger on. There was more to her than she let people see. Everything she did mesmerize him, he couldn't stop staring at her. 

“I'm sorry if I scared you.” The girl said as she locked eyes with him. Every time he looked at her it felt like an electric current was shooting up his spine. She acted cold but he could tell she was a sweet person. 

“Ok I am loving the sexual tension between you two, but it's time Sparky heartbreaker and I head out,” Shane said as he grabbed Jaxon’s hand and pulled him through the house, and took his bedroom. 

“Dude snap out of it,” Shane said, shaking Jaxon. 

“Shane cut it out,” Jaxon said, pushing Shane off of him as he came back to reality. 

“Damn I didn't even get to say goodbye,” Jaxon muttered to himself. 

“Like you'd even be able to speak, dude what was that?” Shane laughed as he nudged Jaxon. 

“What do you mean?” Jaxon asked, why was Shane always so confusing? 

“I'm talking about how you were drooling and getting all excited over that girl. Ooh! Is that the hot slut you're gonna smash?! Oooh, Sparky heartbreakers picked himself a good one!” Shane smirked as he slapped Jaxons ass. 

“Shane! Cut it out! I wasn't drooling over her! Besides, I don't even know her name so how can she be the one I smash?” Jaxon sighed as he flopped onto his bed. 

“You still got excited,” Shane smirked as Jaxon felt his face turn bright red and he covered his lap with a pillow. 

“I hate you, Shane,” Jaxon mumbled as he covered his face with his hands. 

“Hey I'm just telling the truth, and hey at least we now know who’s motorcycle that was.” Shane laughed sitting on top of Jaxon. 

“Shane get your fat ass off of me.” Jaxon wheezed as Shane moved off his chest and sat on his back. 

“Oh! You think I'm thicc! Well maybe later I'll let you tap this fat ass daddy.” Shane laughed as he fell off Jaxon. 

“Oh enough Shane.” Jaxon laughed as he sat up. 

“You know you love me, daddy.” Shane laughed as Jaxon hit him in the face with a pillow. 

“Alright, alright I'll cut it out!” Shane laughed as he tried to stop Jaxon from hitting him in the face with the pillow again. 

“Jaxon, Shane! Come down here.” his mother shouted from downstairs. 

“Welp looks like your new crush is a snitch.” Shane sighed as he stood up from the floor. 

“Hey we don’t know that, but my mom might kill us for something we did earlier,” Jaxon said getting up from his bed. Jaxon smiled as he walked down the stairs with Shane, maybe he’d even get to learn that girl’s name. 

Valentina walked back into the house. It had taken a few minutes longer than she thought it would to drop Oliver off. Man, that kid liked to talk. Valentina walked back into the living room where Nova was sitting finishing going over the papers. 

“Alright, I've gone over the papers. I think we should sign. There’s nothing that would screw us over and we're getting the better deal in the end. Oh and by the way Shane and Jaxon made a surprise appearance.” Nova said without looking up from the papers. Valentina sighed of course Shane was here as well. 

“I’m sorry about them, but if you think the proposals are good we’ll sign and become allies,” Valentina said as she sat down and signed the papers. 

“Call Isabella and have her set up a meeting with Leonela,” Valentina said, handing Nova back the signed papers. “Jaxon, Shane! Come down here.” Valentina shouted up at the boys. 

“Yes, Mrs. Santoro?” Shane laughed with his stupid grin on his face as he walked into the living room with Jaxon. 

“Nice to see you stain.” Valentina smiled as Shane pretended to be hurt. 

“Why you gotta do me like that, Mrs. Dietrich? Besides, I spilled something once.” Shane said as he started smiling again. 

“Yeah, one time every time you're here.” Jaxon laughed. “You can still see the spot under the rug.” Jaxon laughed as Shane shrugged. 

“You have no room to talk sparky heartbreaker,” Shane smirked as Jaxon glared at him. 

“Alright, enough you two.” Valentina laughed. Nova was still standing in the room holding the papers, politely waiting for them to finish. 

“Nova you met Oliver, this is my oldest son Jaxon and his friend and my honorary son, Shane,” Valentina said, introducing them to each other. 

“Aww thanks, mom!" Shane laughed. 

“Boys this is my partner Nova Valadez,” Valentina said, she could tell Nova wasn't too happy that they knew her name. 

“A pleasure to meet you malady,” Jaxon said he took Nova’s hand and kissed the back of it. 

“Ooooh, I didn't realize you could be so regal!” Shane swooned as he pretended he was about to faint. 

“So what work do you guys do together?” Jaxon asked as he nudged Shane and let go of Nova’s hand. 

“We sell and manufacture products and sell them to other corporations and we donate half of all our earnings to charity,” Nova said flatly. 

“Are you going to stay for dinner?” Jaxon asked Nova hopefully. 

“I'm sorry but I should be getting home before people come looking for me,” Nova said as Jaxon looked a little disappointed. 

“I’ll see you tomorrow Val,” Nova said as she saw herself out of the house. 

“I thought a trail of ice was gonna follow her out the door. Dman is that girl always that cold and scary?” Shane asked as he shivered jokingly. 

“For the most part but that doesn't matter. Why don’t you two head back upstairs and I'll call you down for dinner.” Valentina sighed.

 “Ok, Mom! I love you!” Shane laughed as he blew her a kiss. 

“She’s gonna beat the snot outta you one day Shane.” Jaxon laughed as he walked up the stairs. 

“She would never kill her son, or you woulda been dead a long time ago. Besides if anyone's gonna kill anyone it's gonna be you daddy!” Shane laughed as he ran after Jaxon. Valentina smiled, what was she going to do with those two. Valentina thought for a moment, Jaxon had never acted that way around anyone before. Valentina smirked, Jaxon was sweet but Nova would eat him alive.
