The whole entire stadium once again went crazy with awe, excitement and curiosity.
"Win 4 battles? You're kidding!"
"How is he going to do that?"
"He will be up against all kinds of students, how is he going to win?"
All sorts of comments and questions came from all of the other examinees.
Win 4 battles? Allen thought. Maybe that won't be so hard?
"William, you do realize that if he is given these 3 conditions, he will most likely fail. Are you sure this is a good idea?", the earth director asked.
"He has to make it to C rank and win 4 battles? Do you even realize how difficult that will be? In the tournament, he could be up against anyone of any rank, including A ranks", the water director asked.
The audience made comments agreeing with the directors questions and comments.
"Most of you, especially you Walter and Martha, underestimate this young boy's potential. You both voted no to accept this boy into the academy. Therefore, these conditions are necessary. If you doubt his potential and skill, let him prove it. If he can accomplish both C rank even when starting off as a F rank and win 4 consecutive battles in the tournament, no matter who he is up against, then surely he has what it takes to stay at the academy and become a magical knight?"
The audience then started to mostly agree with William. Surely if Allen could do such feats, he is worthy of staying at the academy? The directors stood in silence, thinking about William's proposal.
"Let's ask Allen, the boy in question, his thoughts on this. Allen, surely you understand this situation you're in. If given these conditions, would you attend the academy, even knowing that if you fail, you will be kicked out?", William looked at Allen, waiting for his response.
"I-", Allen started, but didn't know what to say. Start as F rank? Become a C rank? Win 4 battles? Is that even possible?
Allen looked at William's expression. It was the look of question, but also of understanding. He recognized this look on William. It was the look that signaled to Allen that he could accomplish something. Even when Allen kept failing over and over again in training, when William told him he could do it, with the face he has on now, Allen knew he could pull it off, even if it took extra practice time.
There was no questioning it now. Allen could pull this off. There was no more need to think about it. No matter how much he needs to train, he will do this. He will become a magical knight.
"I accept!", Allen shouted. The entire stadium of examinees, examiners, and even the directors were all in shock and surprise. Allen really accepted the proposal.
"Do you see this Martha and Garet? He accepted it. He's willing to attend the academy given his conditions. Now then, here's the final vote, yes or no? Will we make Allen a student of our academy?"
The audience once again waited in anticipation. Will the other directors accept?
Both of the directors thought for a moment. The audience waited in anticipation.
"I say we should accept the boy, let him show us what he can do", the earth director, named Walter voted in favor of Allen.
"This was hard. But given the following conditions, if he can pass those given his weak magic, then I say yes. Have him prove to us he is worthy of the academy like everyone else", the water director Martha also agreed in favor of Allen.
"Then it's settled! Will he pass the conditions and become a magical knight? Or will he fail and be kicked out of the school? Allen Fleming, will become a student at the Magical Knights Academy!", William announced.
The audience went crazy. Most of the examinees were cheering Allen on. The stuck up students just scoffed. The examiners had either looks of concern or disgust. The directors had faces of curiosity, as they were waiting to see what will happen to Allen at his time at the academy.
Allen couldn't believe it. He did it, he became a student at the academy. His long awaited dream was finally a reality. He could finally become a magical knight! With enough practice and studying, he could pass those conditions and then continue being a student at the school.
Before William left, he looked over at Allen, looking like he wanted to say something. But it was too loud to hear anything if he were to speak. He simply gave Allen a nod and then left back to the other directors, in which they all promptly continued on with the other examinee's results. After all, Allen wasn't the last one to be called up.
Allen simply went back to the side area, where several students either congratulated him or ignored him. It seemed it was split fifty-fifty. He was so lost in thought waiting for the rest of the results that it seemed like a second before the results were all in.
William stood up once more, ready to make the final announcement.
"Congratulations to everyone who passed the exam! If you failed, just keep studying and you can try to attend next year. For everyone who passed, classes will start next week. Don't be afraid to start studying and training now!", it seemed like he was looking at Allen for a moment on that last part. "Each of you will be assigned a dorm to stay in while you are here at the academy, and then will be given a schedule for your classes. Good luck everyone and study hard!", William announced, which then he promptly left, with the other directors following him out.
This was it, Allen thought. He will be starting his classes soon. What will they be like? Will he like them? Will he be able to successfully train enough to improve his magic? Only time will tell.
Eventually, all of the students left the stadium area, leaving towards the city of London. Now that the exam was over, they had a few days to kill before the first school year term would start.
Before he left, Allen tried looking for Thomas, the boy from before. He wanted congradulate him on being accepted, and perhaps ask him if he wanted to hang out or something. After all, he would be his first friend at the academy.
He wasn't able to find him, so he just decided to go find an inn to stay at until he was able to live in the dorms.
Once he found a suitable inn that was a good price, he immediately headed to his assigned room. It was already sunset and he needed some rest. He was going to train everyday until the first day begins. He will need as much training as he can get if he wants to graduate the first year.
He just then sat on his bed, almost unable to sleep.
"How am I going to become C rank anyway?", Allen said outloud to himself. "Then there's that tournament William mentioned. If I lose once out of those 4 times, I automatically fail my condition and will be expelled, ugh", Allen let out a grunt of frustration.
"It's not even my fault my magic is so weak. If only I didn't have this-", he began to say as he took off his glove from his right hand.
A small magic circle appeared from his right hand, and magic came out unto his palm. But this wasn't his air magic. He can't use this much air magic as easily, nor can he even produce a magic circle. No, this magic circle was red, different to the white magical circle for air, and flames were what came out of his palm.
"Sure, I have this. But if anyone were to see this, I would surely be imprisoned and executed", he said, while going to lay down, trying to sleep again.
Allen's true magic was not air, but in fact fire magic. Since fire magic is strong against air, this plays into effect for Allen. His inner fire magic almost completely cancels out his inner air magic. If he didn't have this fire magic, then who knows how powerful his air magic would actually be? Will he be able to grow his air magic, despite his fire magic weakening it? And will he even be able to hide his fire magic? Only time will tell for Allen.
He then finally laid down, trying to get some rest for his upcoming days ahead. With a lot on his mind, he wasn't able to sleep at first, but finally he was able to fall asleep and get some rest.
