Florian’s POV 

I heave as I pull myself up onto the wall. There was about 5 ft where I could just lay.

It took me about 20 minutes for me to catch my breath enough to sit up. As I do, I realize that I have a great view of the castle grounds. 

It’s beautiful! I mean really! It looks like the mystical gardens I read about in my books. Except, in real life! 

My brothers sometimes tease me about reading fantasy books. They don’t mean anything by it, it’s just something that some people might think is less “manly” than hunting or training. I personally love reading. 

It’s like a mystical, overgrown, garden. In the middle of the grounds is an old stone castle. 

Father was right. It did look like it was about to fall down. But it looked like it could last another 100 years at the same time. It looks fake almost. I can’t really believe my eyes. 

My view is wonderful, otherworldly even. 

I’m suddenly pulled out of my dream like state by something scratching at my arm! I panicked and looked at what was attacking me, only to find a wretched beast!
