Wen Xinyi didn't expect him to say that. Though you are famous and influential, you're a complete stranger to me. Why not go to your rumored girlfriend ah. Wen Xinyi thought and observed the man sitting in front of him trying to see through the man's emotions but he couldn't. It was like there was a huge block of ice separating them apart. It needs to be melted so that he could reach the other side.

Wu Yijun noticed the hesitant expression on Wen Xinyi's face. His lips slightly curved up.

"I promise not to harm you and I will compensate you."

"But... are you certain that I will not harm you? If I remember correctly I haven't told you my name yet." Wen Xinyi tried to look at the man expressionlessly without blinking but his eyes got a bit painful and tears started to flow.

"Yeah! I'm sure you won't harm me. Don't be scared. I won't harm you. What's your name?"

There was a pregnant silence between them before Wen Xinyi answered. "My name is Wen Xinyi." Wen Xinyi said while wiping the tears around the corner of his eyes. I'm an omega and he is an alpha in a room with only a bed. This picture is kinda wrong ah? Wen Xinyi thought.

"So, please let me stay here today. Okay? I promise to pay." Wu Yijun said in a reassuring voice.

Wen Xinyi remembered the debt he had to pay this month. His eyes showed hesitation but eventually nodded. Well, I just have to protect myself if anything happens. I'm also a man ah.

"But I only have one bed." Wen Xinyi moved a step back trying to create some distance between them.

"I don't mind sharing." Wu Yijun winked at him.

"I don't like sharing. Feel free to sleep on the floor. I will go out, you can wash the dishes while I'm gone." Wen Xinyi said while taking a step further.

"Where are you going?" Wu Yijun raised an eyebrow and had a mocking smile on his face.

"I... I will buy something." Wen Xinyi wanted to stay away from the other man as much as possible but he felt like something was pulling him towards Wu Yijun.

"You will go out. Aren't you afraid that I'm going to steal all your belongings and flee? You haven't set up some rules for me to follow during my stay here and you directly told me to wash the dishes." Wu Yijun said calmly. "Are you afraid of me?" It was more of a statement than a question.

Afraid ah. "No, I'm not afraid. Why would I? I can just go to your company and confront you." Wen Xinyi tried to calm himself. "I will go out now."

Wu Yijun looked at the dishes they used which were still on the table and he nodded with no hesitation. "Okay. Leave the dishes to me."

"O-okay. Then, try not to break even a single dish ah. They are extremely ex...expensive." Wen Xinyi tried to say nonchalantly but the wavering tone of his voice betrayed him.

"Sure. I'm good at housework." Wu Yijun slightly smiled.

"Okay. I'll go now." Wen Xinyi said but kept on looking back afraid that the other man will really take away all the things he owned and left. He couldn't just barge into the other man's company and confront him. The block of ice that separated them was so thick and wide; Wen Xinyi was afraid of the cold.

I need to get some fresh air. Wen Xinyi thought. He slowly opened the door and stepped out of the room. The moment he closed the door, he could no longer smell the pleasant scent he sensed a while ago as if it was sealed in a place beyond his reach. The warmth brought by that scent in his heart was replaced with coldness and emptiness.

He was brought back to reality when he heard a faint sound that seemed like a shutter of a camera, so he decided to look around but found no one. He shrugged it off and held the doorknob, he was still afraid that the person inside his room would do something to his things, which was why after a few minutes of just standing outside the door, he decided to go back only to find that Wu Yijun's sleeves were rolled up and he was facing the sink with a sponge on one hand and a plate on the other, the table was also cleaned up well. Wow! He is fast ah. Wen Xinyi once again smelled the pleasant smell, slowly filling his heart with warmth.

"You came back rather early." Wu Yijun said without looking at him.

"Yeah. I remember I don't have to buy what I needed to buy." He changed into his indoor slippers and wanted to help in washing the dishes but the sink was too small for both of them.

"Why are you sniffing me?" Wu Yijun stopped what he was doing when he felt Wen Xinyi's breathing close to his neck.
