Moments after Ravakil's words, a strange spark lit right between us. He floats back a little, leaving more room between us. I crawl back slightly, feeling a bit fearful at what just happened. The spark happened again, and again. Each time it grew brighter until it lit into a small flame. It was a golden color, and the light it cast was not too bright. I looked at it in awe for it was the first sign of light that I have seen here.
"Interesting…" said Ravakil.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Something that most of us here do not like. Also it is something that those like yourself tend to lose." he replies. I look at him confused but hoping that he would tell me what it was. He did. "Hope…" he finally adds.
Hope… Something I thought was gone. However long it has been, nothing seemed to change except myself. The insanity echoing in my mind the whole time. Things looking nothing more than hopeless. To see this light in front of me. This precious light was a sign that I was wrong in my thinking. This light proves that even in this endless darkness, light can enter here. It was even more surprising to see how Ravakil reacted to it. Even though he said most of those like him do not like the light, it seems as though he was one that took...comfort in it. How he stares, how he seems just as mesmerized as I was.
He was drawn to it, to hope. I wonder if he and others like him wish to feel such feelings or to truly feel something that was not made in this darkness. This was a mystery in itself. There was more to Ravakil than I thought and it makes me feel that maybe him being a guide has a deeper meaning that he has not shared, or is willing to share. Seeing this; seeing him as he is now, I feel more trust towards him...
