Chapter 13 [Ace]

She is lying. I am sure that it’s something else, but she isn’t going to tell what. 

Ace: Well, that’s fine, no problem if you cannot come.

Ace: Well then, see ya later.
 As Ace was going to disconnect the call,
Suddenly Annie said

Annie: No, it’s not true. I was lying. I don’t want to come because of the awkward situation between Dav and me.

Ace: What happened?
As Ace had predicted, something did happen between those two.

Annie: Actually, we were in a relationship, and a few days ago, we broke up, and because of that, it’s awkward between us. And because of that, I don’t want to join the party since it will make it more uncomfortable for you guys, am I right?

Annie: So that’s how it is. By the way, aren’t you shocked?

Ace: Well, I am not since I already had predicted that before. More importantly, I want to know why you guys broke up when you had just begun your relationship. I am not judging, but you kno-

Annie interrupts Ace

Annie: There’s a reason for that. Dav asked me when we all met for the discussion. He asked me if we could date. I didn’t reply to him immediately. I replied a day after. I said yes to him since I didn’t want to hurt him, so I answered yes since I thought he was my precious friend and it will be alright, but it was not, and it was messed up. So days before, I asked him if we could break up and still be friends? But after that, the situation changed, and only for the worse, and today, I don’t even have the guts to face him. I didn’t want to end things like this.

Annie: Please, Ace, help me once again.

Ace was shocked after she asked him for help.

Ace: I will help you, of course, and bring the best possible solution.

Annie:  Thank you... Alright, then see ya later. Mom’s calling. Bubye.

Ace: Bye Bye.

Annie hangs up the call. This time for Ace, it was different than usual. After all…he wasn’t used to this stuff.

“She is different than others”, Ace said.
