Chapter 14 [Ace]

After Annie shared her problems with Ace, He had been thinking the other day after the call.  Next day in school. 

I think it is better to ask and talk to Dav directly. Though it might be a gamble. I am not sure if I should ask Dav’s thoughts on this. Will he tell me, or will it end, worsening their relationship. Still, it’s the only way to obtain a solution.

Later today, in their lunch break. Ace calls Dav and asks him if he is free and wants to talk to him.

Dav said, why not. Walks to a place with no one else around.

Ace: Annie told me everything. I mean, what happened between you guys and the awkward situation you guys are in. 

Dav: When did she tell you about this?

Ace: Yesterday, when I wanted to confirm with her if she was coming or not. I just want to know your views, too, so that I can help you guys solve the problem and fix everything for you guys.

Dav: Okay, for me, it’s the same. I feel wrong about this whole thing too. I don’t want it to end this way, but ‘I want to be her boyfriend and date her.’ I love her like crazy and more than you even love her.  I have spent more time with her, I have known her for a long and I have the right to be with her. And you already know the reason too.

When he said I know the reason, it was not the reason Annie told me, but the cause was me and my presence. And that’s what he meant. 

Ace: Don’t worry, I have not fallen for her yet. And what you said to me, I won’t be saying those to Annie. Since you should be the one who says these words.

Ace was playing a game at his home, and one of his teammates asked him, “What happened? You ain’t doing well.” Ace replied it is complicated. Let me do the in-game leading to finish the game as soon as possible and buy something for dinner.

After the match, he goes out to buy his dinner. While he was returning home.

Ahh! If only I could lead things the way I do in a match. Things would have become a bit easier.

Suddenly Annie appears in front of Ace and said: “ Hey, at least don’t space out when you are walking.”
