The night is over and the new day is here. Hitsuni opens her eyes knowing that today was the day. She sits up and stretches before getting out of bed. She went through her normal routine of getting ready. Her father once again made breakfast, this time he was talking to someone. Actually more than one someone. After Hitsuni was done with what she had to do, she went to the kitchen where she saw her friends sitting, waiting for breakfast while talking to each other and her dad. Violet was there, wearing a pink shirt and black pants. Next to her were the boys, Sands, short for Sanders, and Blaze, who's name is really Nile but chooses to go by this nickname due to him surviving a terrible fire without having any sign of injury despite how long he was in it before being rescued.
Hitsuni waves to them, getting their attention which started an uproar of conversation about the exams they were going to take soon. Everyone soon forgets about the topic when breakfast comes. They eat and talk about random things, things they heard on the news, or whatever came to mind. Once they finish, they sit for a little while before getting ready to go to the academy. During that time before they were going to head out, Hitsuni's father had a little talk with them.
"Remember guys it's going to go well. This exam, it's nothing different than what you have done your whole life in school. I know that I never had to take a test like this, but for you four, this will only be a small step to what's to come. Just remember that this exam is just a test. It's just fancier than the ones that you took before, and everything still holds the same principles as they normally would. They are to see what you know, not something that you've never learned. Every question on that test had an answer that you should know because you were guided and taught to know it. All that you four need to do is remember that and to take your time, take slow deep breaths, and just focus on the questions. Read them carefully and pick the answer that fits what the question asks. Words can be tricky, but the way they are written can make the difference between choosing what you thought is the right answer, and actually picking the correct one. I know the four of you are going to do great as you always do, and I believe that when you go in there today, you're going to do amazing. I'm proud of all of you…" he says to them.
These words actually did help them. Surprisingly enough, all the worries that they had before now seemed to be like only a memory. They were more like themselves, being goofy and such. The worries they had seem to fade, especially after hearing what Hitsuni's father had to say. They walked out the door, and hopped into the car. Hitsuni sat in the front next to her dad while the others sat in the back. They pulled out of the driveway, then headed down the road. The house became distant, while the academy was soon coming into view.
