The house : welcome home

the old lady

the old lady

Apr 17, 2021

Rebecca got out leaving Lia to get ready, and get ready she did, they called Jess and had lunch together, Lia, for the first time in a while, felt at ease.

After that, things got back to normal, with the girls researching the area from time to time, today in particular, was rather special, earlier that week Jess was getting some groceries when she ran into an old lady, Jess helped her get her groceries to her home, there, the lady offered Jess a cup of tea, Jess, like any person should, declined politely, until something on the wall across from the door caught her attention, a picture of two little boys in front of the house our protagonists are in right now, she asked the old lady about it, the woman wore a sad expression for a minute, then told Jess it’s a really long story, so, Jess, Lia and Rebecca, are going to visit the woman today to hear the whole thing,

as they were getting prepared Jess heard a phone ringing, actually it was the same from before, but she got rid of that one, the ringing stopped, Jess looked around for a bit and found nothing, she told herself she just imagined it, she didn’t believe it, but she just went out, it only took ten minutes to get to the old lady’s house, she happily got them in and served tea, Rebecca started:

“Well, um, we heard you have something to tell us about our house?”

“Yes, I do, I worked in that house for twenty-four years, I watched the children grow and took care of them all the way”

Lia looked at the picture that Jess mentioned, with the twins in front of the house:

“Those are their kids, right?”

The lady looked at the picture and smiled:

“Yes, the boys were really smart, they always knew what to do, even as kids, they were very wise, you would think this wasn’t their first life, it’s more like they were watching others fail their first time”

Jess looked a bit surprised and said:

“What do you mean? Like reincarnation?”

Lia looked at her, they clearly shouldn’t mind everything this lady says, just then, Lia’s stomach started to hurt, it got worst and worst, she clutched it as the woman was talking about something she couldn’t hear, she finally said:

“Can I use your bathroom?”

“of course, dear, second floor third door”

Lia left wobbling a bit, the lady dropped he smile and said:

“That girl doesn’t seem okay”

Rebecca answered:

“Yeah, she’s a bit tired, her dog went messing about a month ago, he was a really good dog”

“Oh my! How sad . . . you know, something like that happened with the little girl, she lost her cat, she even said she found her at some point, but when I looked, there was nothing”

On the second floor Lia threw up a bit and felt much better, she washed up and left the bathroom, as she was leaving, she saw a picture on the wall, it was of a young lady standing in front of, their house, another picture with the house in it? And who is that anyways? She’s not a family member, Lia looked behind her, finding a smaller picture of a man, in front of the house, next to it, the picture of a coupe in front of the house, and another picture featuring the house, and another and another, she just stared at the wall for a minute, took out her phone to take a photo, and went back down.
