Will was very scared. He reached around for his inhaler, but couldn't find it anywhere.
"Where did I put it?" he murmured to himself.
"Hey," said a voice from above him.
There, standing above a frantically searching Will, was John.
"Where've you been???" Will asked him.
"I forgot to tell you. I go to a gaming club, where I eat lunch every day." John replied. "You should sign up!"
"No thanks. My social skills are terrible. I just accidentally trippped some red-headed blonde boy who has a bad temper and told me to come to the blacktop after school."
"Sad."
"I get the feeling you don't care."
"Eh, maybe I don't. Or maybe it's because someone's to scared to sign up for a club with a friend he just made."
"John. You can't force me!"
"But it's going to be fun! Trust me."
"No!"
After that, Will walked away, because he didn't want John to convince him somehow.
The rest of the day was a blur to Will.
He was too scared to fight that red-headed kid. There was one weakness, though, that the guy had that could earn Will an easy win.
Meanwhile, John refused to talk to Will again, and instead hung out with Lucy, who always wanted to go to clothes stores and places like that. Places where typical teenage girls go.
