I stayed in the library for about two hours, re-reading the economy, business, and accounting books. I made the plan to start a business this time around. It would be a hygiene themed one. It would start off rocky, I am sure, but it would boom in due time. Then I would have a enough money to run away... I mean, leave and build a home on some land far, far away from here. I put the books away, gathered the notes I took and Master in my arms and left for the day. If I wasn't mistaken, my teacher Mrs. Eugene would be visiting today. Proper etiquette was required for families around here. I've went through this so many times that I could carry books on my head, do a dance twirl, and then execute a proper curtsy bow in one fell swoop... with my eyes closed and in a crowded room.
I went into the study and found Liam there with his teacher Baron Edward. Liam frowned at my intrusion, but didn't say anything. I greeted them both kindly and waited for my teacher. Liam and I had different teachers because he was learning how to be able to handle being a well developed young man. I wasn't suppose to learn the ways of the world until I was twelve. I needed to become a proper lady first after all. But the reason Liam looked so displeased at my arrival is because he and our older brothers are still mad at me for what I did to our Grandfather who they love unbelievably so. They are also find me to be an annoying person. Typical siblings stuff really. I caught them talking about me one day.
“She's so annoying, acting like she knows things.” I heard Lucas say. I was standing outside of the closed room in front of the door with Liam.
“She's also too clingy.” Mason replied back.
“I hate having to deal with her.” Julius griped. I looked at Liam with an 'Oh, is that so?' face. This was my 17th rerun and I had a strong, strong feeling that they hadn't forgiven me yet. Liam looked at me in disgust and left me there as he went into the room.
"They will adore you when your older." Master whispered to me. I hugged him tighter and nodded. They didn't always, but for the most part they came to tolerate me later on in my lives.
As I sat in the chair, waiting for my teacher, I listened to Baron Edward teach Liam. I did this deliberately. I needed to learn new things that would help me in the future. Yes, I have heard the same things over and over, but I believed it to me good to have it kept in my brain constantly. If, this time, I was to leave on my own, I needed more knowledge about the world and it's workings. I pretended I wasn't interested, so that I wouldn't get caught and told wait outside for my teacher.
“Now King Freitch was the one who made a pack with the Dwarves.” Baron Edward taught Liam. Yeah, yeah. King Freitch was a smart person who saw that the Dwarves could benefit his kingdom by traded with them. The trading lasted several hundreds year with each nation being on friendly terms with each other. That was until the 4th generation dwarve king thought it was best to start taxing the living daylights out of whatever they traded. This led the Kingdom of the Stars to withdraw and never trade with the dwarves again. Now both kingdoms are slightly suffering from this.
But this is a good thing to know though. I could totally use this Kingdom as well as the dwarves in the future. I couldn't resist smiling and twiddling my thumbs. Yes, this would work perfectly. I could also make the Kingdom of Stars my homeland! I just needed to figure out who I should deal with and how I should deal with them. Then from there, if we get a friendly relationship going, they can tell me about vacant land somewhere!
Knock, knock. When I heard that, I stood up and the door opened, revealing my teacher, Mrs. Eugene.
"I extend greetings to my teacher." I showed impeccable manners as I said my hellos. She blinked a couple of times with her mossy green eyes and nodded with her greeting.
"And I extend my greetings to you, Ms. Mallory." Her smile was wide and I could feel how happy she was right now. "Come now, let us not disturb your brother any further." She ushered me out of the room and down the hall to a different room where a piano was. In case you are wondering, yes. I can play the piano, violin, and flute. Plenty of time to study after all. I was surprised that we were using this room because the triplets should've been here, but I guess they must've have been brought elsewhere for the day. "Now let us begin." Mrs. Eugene tapped her stick in her hand as she turned to me. After I finished my lesson, with some deliberate mistakes (can't let people know too much right now) I made my way up the stairs, finding my candle. I frowned at it.
I forgot matches... I looked down the stairs, to my left and right, and in front of me again. It should be okay, right? No one seemed to be around. I took a deep breathe, snapped my fingers and then closed them into a loose fist.
"Oh great sage of Light, I humbly beseech thee. Grant my wish of a small guiding sight." Opening my hand slowly a small light ball came floating up. Just a few inches above my palm the light bobbed up and down. It flew up, abruptly, zooming around my head. I giggled at its playfulness and pointed forward. "To my room please." It flew a few feet in front of me and I walked with it guiding me to my room.
"It is good that your abilities with magic are still good even after all the reruns." Master commented. I nodded, agreeing with him. My magic seemed to get stronger each time, and I could do things like this... which could be consider an extreme advance move, easily. When we finally made it to my room, I changed my clothes to better suit what I was about do next. My physical strength with the reruns... that was a different story. My body was that of an 8 year old and I had to start training now, to get it back to where it was... if not stronger. I needed to have this body relearn how to use a sword and bow, teach it how to ride a horse, and many more things. This was an extremely tiring thing to do over and over again. But since I had done it so much, I knew exactly what I needed to do. Today, in my slacks, light-weighted shirt, and brown boots, I was going to have Master help me run the training fields.
"Master, if I may impose on you so?" I turned to the stuffed horse with a sweet smile. The toy sighed at me and a bright purple light surrounded it. After a few moments a tall young man wearing the Duchery's knight uniform appeared. His short dark purple hair lay on his head and framed his fair skinned toned face. His black eyes, though most found scary, look kindly at me. Extending out his hand to me he said,
"It is never imposed my Lady." I took his hand and we, with the little light ball, made our way to the training grounds. It was time to start all over... again.
