I got out of school and sat on the bench outside. I don’t know why but I was expecting today to be more eventful. Not saying I wanted it to be more eventful, it's just, I went the whole day with Amelia constantly staring at me but not saying anything. I'm pretty sure Leon forgot what happened considering he’s not different from his usual self, I was just expecting more of a freak out from both of them. Meh, after that still-unnamed guy dropped me off I pretty much slammed the door in his face and went straight home.
It was only this morning that I remembered I had left my phone at that house. I’m not planning on getting it back, it was an old model anyway. I don’t have the money for a new one. The wind blows and my bothersome thoughts immediately disappear. I close my eyes for what feels like three seconds when I feel the bench I'm sitting on shift. I look over and almost fall before being caught.
Of course, I couldn't have one normal, relaxed day. The guy from the party is smiling while clearly trying to hold back his laughter. Now before you judge me, this guy is definitely not a high school student. He’s easily 6’4, has short blonde hair, green eyes, looks like he could throw a car with one hand, and owns a car. His hands on my shoulders are the only thing keeping me from falling, I'd rather he let go.
As soon as I think that he let’s go and I fall, it wasn't the most pleasant experience but better than that awkward position. I stand up and brush myself off. He’s looking at me the way a little girl with a crush would. I sneer at him, he laughs.
I say with slight annoyance, “How did you find me?”
“What makes you think I was looking for you?” He smiles and tilts his head like a confused puppy.
“If you weren’t looking for me, why bother coming over here in the first place.”
He dodged my question. “Do you know what time it is?”
I roll my eyes and instinctively reach into my back pocket and remember my phone is gone. He reaches into his navy blue hoodie pocket and gets up from the bench. I backed away a little, this guy is still a stranger and I don’t feel like dying outside my high school. I’m watching his hands, making sure I have time to sprint, then I see him pull out a phone. A phone that looks exactly like mine.
“I tried to hand it to you yesterday but you left before I could” I looked up at him, my phone, then back to him. He, once again, tilts his head and smiles. I snatch the phone from his hands. “Ah well, as much as I love talking to you, I have something I need to do.”
“Good, please leave,” I say with an annoyed look on my face. He laughs.
“Oh, one more thing, you should probably change your passcode. 123456 isn't the hardest thing to guess.”He winks at me and walks away. Yeah, he WINKED at me, the most uncomfortable thing ever.
“You shouldn't look through people's phones!”
