the Demon laughed, it knew its power in this situation,

"You'd be surprised with how much a Demon can stand before snapping, I wouldn't have minded a short chat!"

At his point I wasn't sure whether to laugh or scream in terror so I decided to do neither,

"L-listen, you can murder me if you REALLY need to, but not the kid, sure he's fat and kind of a dick but c'mon man"

the Demon scoffed, 

"Murder him?! Of course not! I wouldn't have come this far to murder a child!"

I just sat there a little dazed, a little confused and very, very annoyed knowing this job is the one I've been payed the least during my entire Bodyguard career,

"then WHAT do you want?"

"I'm after a relic, a VERY old relic-"

 a relic? Really? That's the most unoriginal and used trope for a villian but sure, what-fucking-ever,

"Now, at this point I think I have a very obivous question, why the fuck are you on this boat?! This is a TRANSPORT boat for HUMAN cargo! We don't have any "relics!"

"W-what? But I was told of the many riches I could obtain on this ship! They lied to me!"

"WHO?! WHO LIED TO YOU?! YOU HAVE EXPLAINED NOTHING THAT COULD BE USED AS AN ANALYSIS IN ANY ACTUAL SITUATION!"

The Demon looked panicked, he wailed and began what looked like a man breaking down into tears,

"I can't say! Just!... Powerful creatures, I'm no Demon, I'm human! I gained powers months ago but you see, it cost me my soul and money, a lot of money! I thought gaining Demon powers would just get you the ability to become rich! Turns out that counts as "Devils money", Money that's basically loaned from bigger, stronger demons!"

Now, very obivously, that was a metric fuckton to take in and even harder to understand when I'm on the verge of collapse,

"So what I'm understanding is... your broke?"

The "man" started sobbing harder, it was getting to a point where it was just pathetic...

"alright listen, if you DON'T murder me and let me at least get that dipshit to his father I'll help you pay off your debt, alright?"

"Really?..."

"Yep, but first I'm going t-"

the adrenline finally went away, it felt like every thing ib my body just stopped like someone threw a comically large wrench into some gears, after a bit I woke up to... something pretty interesting.
