“Please sign your full names here,” a lady told us, “This is for anyone going for anthropomorphization” she said. Ruth and I nodded, not undersranding what she had meant.
“Mh-hm.” We nodded. “You don‘t know what I mean, do you?” the lady asked. Ruth and I shamefully nodded.
“It is for anyone signing up for making the droids look more ´human´.”
“Oh, well, that would be me and Ruth...” I said, raising my hand, Ruth copying me.
It was really akward and embarassing; we must have looked like four clueless fools applying for a job, except, that‘s what it actually was.
“All you need to do, is sign here,” the lady pointed to the paper, “That simple.”
We all looked at each other; not only clueless fools, but un-employed clueless fools. But that‘s going to change. Well maybe not the clueless fools, but the un-employed part.
I wanted to thank her for giving us this oppertunity few have, “Thank you…?”
“Ah- Arfive...”
“Thank you-” I was interupted by a loud bang, it vibrated in the big room. The guards, who were know checking the windows, called one another. It took me a while to comprehend what I just heared, but then, it became clear to me. Everyone was quiet, only the ticking of the clock could be heard, as it echoed. I thought I was going to explode at any minute.
“What is it?” Castellen asked, his hands started shaking again; his anxiety. As in the speed of light, the door bashed open, and created big cracks on the floor, as it fell. It created a dust cloud. There was a tint of color in the dust that outlined a shape. Some shape I couldn‘t identify. An intruder...
No one saw anything, but that didn‘t stop them from starting to yell and scream and run. I looked over at Henry, then at Castellen, then at Ruth, and as if by telepathy, we started running. We ran at the back of the building, and swung from one hallway to the next. We then hid behind carton boxes that were in the storage room. I could hear it, it‘s somewhere near, I thought.
