Amanda J. Jones loved writing in her book. All she did was write, write, write. All she did was write books. In class, on the bus, at home, at night, all day.
But one day, a Monday in fact, Amanda's mom said: "get off that note pad! We have to go outside."
"No, mom." Amanda objected.
"My character is about to find the cuase of her cousins disappearance!"
"No, you are about to find the cuase of the worms outside. C'mon." Ananda's mom dragged her by her feet outside and locked the house doors.
"Now," Her mom said.
"You are going to walk to school. You can't write your book while your walking!"
"Ok, mom. Fine. I'll walk to school. Why do you want me outside so much, anyway? Is it that my birthday is Wednesday and it's conferences that day, so I don't have to go to school, so your planning my suprise party."
Amanda's mom always made a suprise party for her birthday. It now wasn't a suprise birthday anymore, but Amanda still had to act suprised so her mother wasn't angry.
"No!" Her mom called back. "Ok, maybe!"
Amanda walked to school with her backpack on her shoulder.
She had stuffed her other notepad with her other story inside her backpack, so she could still write.
At school, everyone first had to eat breakfast. It was beacon, eggs, and Amanda's highlight of her day, waffles.
"Yum! Waffles! Boo pancakes!" Amanda's friend, Molly said as she started eating her food right next to Amanda.
"Hi Amanda!" She said, as if she didn't notice her before.
"I didn't see you on the bus today. What happend?"
"Hi, Molly. I had to walk to school today." Amanda said as she started chewing her first bite.
"Eww! Don't talk while your mouth is full. But anyway, do you know why you had to walk to school today?" Molly asked as she put one of her hands on the table, one on her back, one leg in the table, and one leg on the ground, stretching.
"I don't know why I had to walk today. My mom just made me." Amanda said.
Just then, Molly's outstretched leg brushed the fifth grader boy sitting at the other table.
"Ow!" He said, right before Molly said: "Sorry." And pulled her sneakers dragging her legs back to our table.
"I wonder why we sit in the row of seats right before the fifth graders. We're in third grade!" Amanda complained.
"It's fine. Let's just go. The bell will ring any minute." Molly said. We raced to class.
The teacher said: "Hello, class." And waved her hand.
"Hello Mrs. T." The class said, sitting down on the carpet.
"Hello, everyone. Today, I'd like to introduce the new student, Feona. Everyone, say hi to Feona." The teacher gestered toward a young looking girl with a shirt brown Bob.
"Hello, Feona." The c,ass bellowed.
Amanda was sure the neighboring class could hear us.
"Feona, would you like to tell everyone about yourself?" The teacher asked, though everyone knew it wasn't a question.
"Yes, Mrs. T." Feona said, getting up. Her hands were clinging together. Amanda could tell she was scared to talk infront of everyone.
"My name is Feona, I'm nine years old and I'm turning ten in two months." She said.
"My favorite color is green, and I love playing instruments. My favorite animal is a gecko, and my favorite place is my piano classroom. My favorite instrument is the piano." Feona finnished and sat back down.
"Thank you, Feona. Now, does anyone have any questions? If not, we should be getting onto fractions."
Everyone riased thier hands.
Everyone could tell that most of them didn't have any questions, they just didn't want to learn about fractions. It WAS REALLY boring.
"Feona, who would you like to call on first?" The teacher asked, surprised about how many people riased thier hands.
"I'd like to call on, him." Feona pointed at jack, the oldest of the class.
"What's your favorite stuffy?" He asked.
"I was actually going to show you her at show and tell!" Feona said.
"Oh, then don't tell me now." Jack riased both his hands as if he was in front of the police.
"Ok, now you." She had pointed at Molly.
"Oh, um... who's your mom?" Molly asked, who, most likely, didn't even have a question at all.
"Her name is Dolores." Feona said.
After a lot of different questions like, "are you writing any books?" Or, "do you have a phone?" It was time for math. But then the clock struck 10:00.
"English!" The teacher shouted. The class was relived they didn't have to do math.
We looked up at our little holder things where it said who was at what table, and what that table was doing.
Amanda, Molly, Jack, his little brother Jackson, and now Feona's table was table four. We all sat down.
Today, we were supposed to be reading a book called: bees book of buzzes, a book about how beers make honey. It was a chapter book, we've all been that book for three days, and we're really bord of it.
But Feona on the other hand jumped up and down at the sight of the book on the table.
"I have a copie of the book at home! I've read this one a thousand times!"
She got her copie at her spot and imeditly started reading.
Amanda got out her notepad from her backpack and started writing.
Everyone else started reading.
"You breaking the rules again, Amanda?" Molly whispered in my ear.
"Shut up!" Amanda jokingly said and waved her arms in Molly's direction.
After that part of English we they were supposed to make one to two sentences about thier day to day life.
After that the bell rang and they had to eat lunch.
Amanda and Molly ate our Pb&j's in silence.
"How do you like the new girl?" Amanda finally asked.
"Pretty nice." Molly said and sipped some her juice.
Then Molly wiped her mouth with a cloth napkin.
"What do you think about her?" She asked.
"I think she's a little weird, but nice." Amanda said.
"Weird for liking that book!" Molly luaghed a little.
"Yeah!" Amanda said, and started writing again.
. . .
After the day, Amanda got home, ate her macaroni, and write in her book before going to bed.
