"Honestly, for once, can you not shout so loudly that I end up nearly killing myself?" Nathan growled at his sister. "Haha. no." Alex said savagely to Nathan. "If you want we can get a slide that goes down to the first floor instead of you having to break your neck everytime you run down the stairs," Alex said loudly to Nathan as she walked away towards the computer, ready to play some video games.

That night, Alex lay awake staring at the boring beige ceiling of her bedroom. She turned over to face her alarm clock. 11:54. Jeez, it's quite late.. Alex thought, turning back over on her side to stare at the ceiling once more. She sighed. Why did mom give me a complete empty plate? Invisible broccoli?! Alex kept thinking this over and over her head throughout these hours, she was starving. Maybe she could go get a little midnight snack from the fridge?
