After tea time with Willow and Sona. Arabella and I head to the stables where Purr is, her name is Purrna, but I call her Purr for short. I think it’s cute!
“Heya girl.” I say, seeing Purr out in the field with her kind. She taps the ground with her hoof and rears her head back.
She trots over, leaning her head over the fence so I can touch her nose. “Are you ready to go for a ride?” I ask her with a smile, she stops her hoof and nuzzles her nose into my hand.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” I giggle, Arabella and I take her to the stable to set her up with a comfortable saddle.
As I’m getting onto Purr I hear a bark coming from the castle's direction. Kefi darts out from a corner of a building, barking and running like the wind.
I laugh, watching him run toward Arabella and I. He barks up at me in anger, his cute snout scrunching. “Did you want to come along too Kefi.” He jumps up, walking over to sit by Purr’s leg.
“I think he's upset that you tried to leave him, my lady.” Arabella giggles softly, changing to her little fairy form. “I’m sorry Kefi, I won’t do it again.” He wags his tail, his tongue hanging from his mouth happily.
The four of us head to the front of the place, where we meet up with Arcane and some of his people.
“Beatrice, are you ready?” Arcane walks up to me, with a bright blinding smile on his handsome face. I nod blushing “Yes, I’m excited to see my new kingdom, and it’s people.” The fairies behind Arcane flutter happily with giggles.
“I know my people are excited to meet you as well. You're all they talk about.” He looks over to the fairies fluttering who stop and blush. Arcane and I both chuckle, “Come, let’s be on our way.” He changes into his little fairy form, leading the way to my new kingdom and people.
I’m really excited to see where Arcane grew up and what the other fairies are like. The ones I’ve met so far are so sweet and kind.
I feel really lucky to be their possible queen, I hope I will be someday.
Passing by the Sunna Meadow, I see some of the centaurs from before along with….Yvaine
I turn red as he turns his head and stares at me, seeming shocked to see me. The last time we spoke I bawled my eyes out and didn’t even get to apologize! Maybe I should have sent him a letter or something!
His clan mates are also looking in our direction, I’m unable to hold my ground, so I look away. I take a breath which catches the attention of Arabella, crap…
“Are you alright my lady?” She asks with a bit of concern for me.
“I’m fine Arabella, I was just taking in this nice fresh air.” I give her my sweetest smile, hopefully she won’t notice.
She gives me a look but nods in understanding. “You’ll like the air even more in our kingdom. We fairies take great care of our environment.” She smiles with pride, “I have noticed that.” I giggle, happy to change the subject. Before Purr stops out of nowhere, jolting me a bit.
I look straight ahead to see what’s happening, I wish I hadn’t. Yvaine is standing in the middle of our path.
“Blood Warrior, is there a problem?” Arcane asks, flying over to Yvaine. Yvaine greets him with a respectful nod “I apologize Fairy Prince, but I would like to ask where you're taking the lady.” He gives a hard but respectful stare.
Arcane turns back to look at me who is melting away of all my color. I don’t know what’s going on! Why has he stopped us?!
He glances at Yvaine, before turning back to addressing him. “I am taking her to my kingdom for a visit. It has been approved by the queen, so may I ask why you have stopped us?” Arcane raises a brow at Yvaine, Yvaine smiles a dashing smile.
“I apologize, I am a bit attached to the lady. I got a little defensive seeing her leave the protection of the kingdom.” He states, looking over at me with heated eyes.
I’ve seen that look before...I blush, Arcane turning to look at me too. Oh goodness, I try to hide behind my hair. I really hope they can’t see my face.
“I understand, she is my future queen, I would never put her in harm's way. I rather take my own life than let that happen.” Arcane declares to Yvaine, who smiles and nods in understanding.
“I apologize again for blocking your path, please continue.” Yvaine steps aside for us, “Thank you, I would like to talk with you in private upon our return.”
Yvaine nods “I understand. I’ll look forward to it.” Arcane nods finishing the conversation, flying by to continue our journey.
I ride past him slowly, my blood warming with his nearness. Though he does nothing and only watches as I leave. I’m not sure how to feel about that. Did I want him to do something? Touch me at least? I have no idea…
A few hours pass before Arcane announces our arrival. I look up to see cute cottages hanging from the thick trees that look like giants. Some on the thick branches and others build right on the side or high in the canopy.
I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s so magical.
It’s hard to believe that anything like this exists. We ride through a town area, many of the fairies, fluttering and laughing happily. Many wave and cheer, it reminds me of when I first came here to this new world.
It feels like so long ago, but really it's only just been a few weeks in passing. I wonder how things will turn out for us human women. I know we’ll be taken care of, but how will this change us as people? Humans are greedy creatures and forget to treasure what they have.
I hope I never turn into that kind of person. I’m thankful for the chances I’ve been given. I bet many women believe that their life ended when they were taken. For me though, It was a new beginning that I didn’t know I needed or even wanted. Maybe I secretly did, but didn’t want to believe that I wanted it.
I definitely didn’t expect it in this way, thankfully everything turned out well for me.
I do miss my family, they were everything to me. I believed that I would meet a nice man and settle down close to home, so I could help take care of mother and father when they got too old.
In a way I wanted that as well, but I truly believe that this is better for me. Where I am is home, my new home that I can make for myself.
We ride up to the front of the castle gates made of old wood and magical vines covering it. Fairies that were guarding the gate quickly try to open it. I giggle watching them frantically try to quickly open it.
The gate opens slowly, revealing a magical earthy castle. It looks like part of the earth with all the greenery all over it. I even see a few magical waterfalls, flowing off some of the balconies. It stands out so beautifully it takes my breath away. I can’t believe a castle like this exists, personally I like it more than Kroba’s.
“What do you think, Beatrice.” Arcane flies over with a charming excited smile. I can feel through our marks and my power that he is proud to show me his home. In a way I find that cute and romantic.
I give him a blushing smile “I truly love it, even more than Kroba’s castle.” Arcane chuckles, delighted from my response. “Don’t let the queen hear you say that!” He guides Purr further in, past the gates into the castle courtyard.
It reminds me of a forest, it’s very soothing and quiet. Arcane changes back to his normal size, taking my hand, helping my off Purr. One of the fairies from our group takes Purr away, I’m guessing to a stable.
“She will be fine, our people will take care of her.” Arcane whispers in my ear from behind. I guess he saw my worry. I nod “I trust yall.”
He gives me a dashing smile filled with light and deep affection. The sight of his feelings cause my face to flush. His is such an open book to me, I don’t know if he knows it either.
“Come, let me show you our home.” I don’t know why, but everytime he says “our” my heart skips a beat. Like everything he has belongs to me, I feel greedy for thinking that way, but it makes me happy. Maybe I am becoming a disgusting human filled only with greed…
“I would love that.”
Arcane walks me through the castle, showing me every nook and cranny. Waving at the giggling fairies keeping their distance for now. I’m guessing Arcane told them not to bother us just yet. He looks like a kid in a field of flowers showing me all the different types.
His excitement to show me everything reminds me of my little brother. We giggle and laugh, having a good time showing me around.
Until we end up at a waterfall behind the castle. A small lake at the base, the evening sky making the water shimmer. I look at it in awe, frozen in my spot.
Before I can comprehend what is happening, I’m suddenly thrown into the water! I come up for air, glaring as I hear laughter from the bank.
“Arcane!” I yell with a laugh, swimming easily. He continues to laugh, walking into the water toward me. I glare at him playful, I would probably have been angry if the water was cold but thankfully it’s not. It’s actually warm and soothing.
“I hope you're not mad at me, my lady.” He practically dripped that last part with sin. I have no idea how someone can shiver in warm water, but I sure did.
“Thankfully the water wasn’t cold, so you're off the hook this time.” I continue to glare at him, here I thought he was a gentleman.
“Only this time?” He says seductively, coming closer, our lips barely touching. I suck in a quick breath at his nearness, this definitely turned some tables.
He pulls my waist close, taking my lips a hot searing kiss. A moan slips past my lips, he pulls back too quickly. He looks down at me with a charming smirk, caressing my bottom lip with his thumb. “Will this do as an apology?” He raises a handsome brow, looking charmingly cocky.
I turn away all smug “I’m afraid not.” He chuckles, kissing my cheek to my jaw. “You drive me wild.”
“I seem to have that effect on people.” He burst out laughing, holding me tight in his arms. “Clearly, Sir Yvaine seemed smitten with you.” He says with a twinkle in his eyes. Pulling even closer, my chest pushes up against his. Showing my breast off to him.
I blush “We had a nice time together I guess.” I turn away, unable to meet his eyes. “A nice time you say?” He teases, I glare at him “Not like that, we just talked!” I state, my whole face turning red. “I would think you’d be mad if I had done something with him.” I say, looking down at him curiously.
“Actually, I like him more than all the others you’ve tasted.” He grins at my reaction, my face in complete shock. “Taste?! And huh?!” He chuckles, shutting me up with a kiss. My head going blank.
He pulls back once I calm down a bit. “The centaurs and fairies get along well. We both respect each other greatly.” He declares, that’s very interesting, who would have guessed?
“Yvaine respects that you’ll be my queen even if he does want you too. The centaur race is very honorable. They see things justly. We fairy folk respect that. It is why we’ve been good friends for centuries.” He smiles up at me sweetly.
“I’m sorry that I let Erebus mark me first.” I look down sadly, before he uses his finger to lift my chin back up. “That was not your fault, he took advantage of your lack of knowledge.” I bite my lip, leaning my forehead on his. The mark on the back of my neck glows with warmth.
“I’m happy to become your queen.” I say against his lips softly, looking into his eyes. “I promise to do everything I can for our people.” His eyes lighten with my words, his warmth flowing through me like a river.
“I promise to be by your side through it all.” He gives me the most serious look I’ve ever seen on his handsome face. My heart skips a beat as he seals that promise with a kiss.
