~Chapter 12 ??? POV~

It is finally time for Dustin and Blaze to meet. Sure they have met before but never knew the other existed. It is kind of like the string of fate in romance novels if you think about it. “James it is almost time for them to become mates.” James walked over to my side and looked into the water. “Wow already it feels like yesterday that the two of them were born.” “I know. It’s only been like 121 years since we saw a potential pair. It was pure luck that they were born and that they fit the criteria.” 

This pair of future mates would have most likely never been possible if we weren’t involved. In all honesty fate is always weird James and I only have the power to tinker with it a little bit once every 100 years. Time passes differently where James and I are and we can watch Dustin and Blaze everyday. In human time it would total up to about a tv shows episode for us basically. 

It is like watching a reality show but without a lot of drama. The one thing that pains my heart is watching Dustin go through all of that and not being able to help. It is like being a supervising commander and watching through your screen as your comrades go into a battle where they can never come back. Then you are just sitting there watching them slowly go away from the camera and not come back. While I was caught reminiscing in my thoughts James jolted me out of them when he said something.

 “Hmm. Sorry I wasn’t paying attention, can you repeat what you said?” “I said Dustin went into heat and Blaze is going to mark him soon.” “That is good, we should give them some privacy though.” “Yes,” James responded. He gave me a quick peck on the lips before walking off. 

Though we have been together for over eighteen centuries we still love each other deeply. We aren’t as romantic as we used to be but we still shower each other with affection every now and then. We give each other little gifts and say corny things. Like you're the sugar to my spice. I walked over to the sofa and turned on the tv. A new century always brings something more advanced or something awful. With Blaze and Dustin being fated mates once Blaze marks Dustin, Dustin would have an automatic raise in the percentages of him getting pregnant when he isn’t in heat.

 Blaze and Dustin will only be affected by each other’s pheromones now. After this if Dustin decides to go back to college no one will mess with him. I wish I could just go down there and give his parents and those bullies a piece of my mind. I flipped through the tv channels. Nothing interesting caught my eye so I decided to take a nap. I woke up when someone tapped my shoulder.

 When I opened my eyes I saw James. His blonde hair has never turned into dirty blonde. When we first met each other I constantly said there is no way he could have that blonde hair naturally. His father and mother were both brunettes. “Why did you wake me?” I asked him wondering what is so important that he has to wake me up to tell me. “I’ll give you the summary version. Blaze marked Dustin. 

Dustin hasn’t woken up for a few days. Blaze adopted a puppy named Oliver to keep Dustin company. Last but certainly not least Blaze told off Dustin’s dad.” “Is there a replay button I want to see?” “No unfortunately there is no replay button since this is real life.”

 I shrugged my shoulders. “With the pace that everything is going the Elders will get involved soon. All we have to do is twist fate a little bit soon enough. For now we will wait.”
