They feared us. They adored us. They cursed us. They worshipped us.
We were valuable. We were dangerous. We were sacred.
Myths and legends of our kind have been spun and weaved into tales of the world time and again. The fiery red-haired beings; beautiful and dangerous, treasured jewels and dangerous warriors. Beings of tempers that were as short as our hair were red, but a rarity that is to be closely guarded; yet with each myth one fear is rumored as truth, we are soulless. But what if the urban legend of us, creatures with red hair, having no soul to sustain our body so we steal the souls of those around us...wasn’t a legend?
History and science states that our kind was simply created by a mutation in the MC1R gene from long long ago, but what if they were wrong? What if we are truly beings far different from the humans we live with? Well now, I suppose it’s time the truth was revealed.
