This was one weird morning for me, I wasn't use to being woken up by a kid who was whining for breakfast to be made. I certainly wasn't use to having her following me around everywhere I went and I mean everywhere. Leah is like my little duckling, she even followed me to the bathroom so I had to have her turn around while I did my business.

Turns out she likes ducks so her nick name ducky will suit her just fine. Since I was woken up earlier today, sadly, I had decided to take ducky with me to turn in the adoption papers and maybe get the whole "I own the group now" thing done.

Well I figured if I was going to do that I might as well change my last name to match Leah's and to the group name. what concerns me a bit is that I can't take off the earring Mr. Blackwood put on me and that's because it beeped a few times making me think I have some kind of bomb on me.

Leo was still asleep since it was about eight in the morning, I made bacon and egg tacos to eat then dressed ducky in a pink sweater that had a glitter heart in the middle with black leggings and black boots. I wore something similar only mine didn't have a heart and of course I had a small leather backpack that carried the paperwork and documents I needed along with my hand gun.

Can't leave my hand gun at home now could I, especially when I have a little girl to protect now. Hmmmm........I have a little girl now......oh god why is my mind still processing this? Maybe I was too excited about having her that my brain was so in the process and now had caught up.

I looked at her, blonde hair, blue eyes, rosy cheeks, pink lips, a healthy pale skin that looked tanned whenever she was happy. She's so beautiful to look at and I could stare at her all day whether it was when she tried to brush her teeth or when she tip-toed to reach the juice in the fridge.

Not to say I'm happy what happened to her father but I think I'm lucky to have gotten her in my life. Right now, she was patiently sitting on the couch playing with her hair as she waited for me. I took one of Leo's more family friendly car, the Audi RS 7, and made sure ducky sat in a car seat then we were on our way.

While waiting for my number to be called ducky sat on my lap as she played candy crush on my phone and told me what the colors names were. I was listening to her but my mind was wandering to the thought of whether I was strong enough to actually be a.....boss. Boss....boss...bossssss......boss Skylar...nope doesn't sound good.

I sighed relaxing my head on top of ducky's head and wrapping my arms around her little waist pulling her closer to me. "Are you happy with me," I asked her and she turned her head around. With one hand she touched my cheek then kissed it, "Appy moma appy."

I smiled and kissed her soft cheek causing her to giggle which made me plant more kisses all over her. After waiting for three frickin hours we finally took care of the necessary paperwork which took another two hours and it was official, she is officially my daughter.

As we got to the car I kneeled down to her level taking both her hands in mine, "Well sweetie you are mine now, mommy belongs to you forever." She smiled so big at the news I just told her I couldn't help but smile even more at her reaction, "Ai luv u mommy."

"I love you too my little ducky," I pulled her in for a hug planting more kisses on her little head. "Okay ducky now let's go to one of your papa's offices to deal with other stuff," I said while buckling her in. I followed an address I had put in the navigation system and it apparently took me deeper into the city to a tall black building that must have been at least thirty stories high.

After parking in the parking garage across the street we walked into the office lobby and I stood there marveling over the elegancy it was in. the lobby had natural colors of beiges and browns, a wall had a carving of swirls with flowers.

The tile floor had the same colors but of patterns and circles making ducky skip it as if playing hopscotch. There were large lights in the ceiling with crystals hanging low and on the other wall was a fountain containing ordinary gold fish.

I heard the earring make a beeping noise again but this time it did it twice in a row, maybe it knows where we are. "Ducky, I need you to stay here and look at the fishies until mommy is done talking, okay?" she looked at me with a smile and nodded then sat on the railing to touch the water.

I rolled my eyes remembering the aquarium incident and began to walk to the receptionist's desk. "Hello....um..ma'am?" I laughed in my head because some people can't tell which gender I belong to, "I'm actually a boy but it's okay it is a mistake most make. I was wondering if I could speak with the person in charge of this office?" "Sir, I'm afraid you'll have to make an appointment, we don't just let any silly little stupid boys come and see the president without knowing who they are. Why don't you run on home and bring an adult before you cause trouble."

I smiled and called her a bitch in my mind, "Well I'm certainly no little stupid boy who takes crap from a receptionist who doesn't know how to keep her attitude in check. Can you please just call your president so I may talk important business with him."

She rolled her eyes, "Look kid this is a top luxury company and we don't need stu--" "That is enough Andrea you are speaking to your boss right there very inappropriately." She was interrupted by a man with smooth milk chocolate skin, dreadlocks that stopped a little past his shoulder and dark brown eyes that could intimidate anyone.

While he observed me without saying a word, ducky ran to me saying she was hungry yet again. I picked her up as she wrapped her around my neck and legs around my waist, "Mommy ungry." "We can go eat with uncle Leo in a while mommy just needs to talk to some people first," I tell her breaking eye contact with the man.

Ducky looks at him then smiles, "Jay!" I look back at the man and he smiles at her, "Hello again miss Leah. I'm sorry about your daddy." He then looks at me, "I assume you are here about claiming what Mr. Blackwood had given to you." I take a step back, "Yes, how did you know I was here?"

He stepped closer to me and touched my ear where the earring was, "This earring has been passed down through generations, it's made of real gold and the little diamonds are real as well. In one of the diamonds there is a tracking device hidden behind it so that we know where our boss is at all times." Before the owner dies he or she must pass the heirloom off to the next generations boss. Right now, only you may take it off since it has your DNA in its system unless of course we chop your ear off and have your dead body open it but that's just an option."

I nervously laughed and ducky was mad at the mention of my dead body, "Moma no die!" I hugged her closely and tried to relax her assuring her I will always be alive for her. Jay laughed and apologized to her then assured me that they wouldn't try a thing like that with me. "If you come this way boss we must discuss at least the basics with you when it comes to running this large hidden group. Our office is just above us and there is already snack in there ready for Leah." I followed jay and a few other men upstairs, "Oh an I must ask if you have the princess's adoption work done and if you plan to go to tonight's party. If you do I shall attend with you of course."

"Yes, she is officially mine now and I understand to accompanying me but I do have a colleague of mine who is also accompanying me. I must also ask if it was more preferable if I changed my name to the appropriate groups name."

I sat on the black leather couch that was to the side of the oval table while I had ducky on my lap eating a yogurt that was in the mini fridge. Jay took a seat on the dark brown cushion chair closest to where I was seating, "Don't worry about it your name has already been changed. While we were conversating I had one of our men go take care of that and is now on his to hand us your new identification documents."

"Oh, okay shall we get straight to the main topic then?" I asked putting ducky to the side giving her my phone for distraction. Jay smirked, "We all know how the devils' Angel is serious when it comes to business so I believe blackwood made a good choice in choosing you but I hope you know how serious this is and how dangerous it can get."

I looked at ducky for a moment than back at jay with a smile, "Bring it on."

"Mommy where going?" ducky asked me from the back seat of the car. We are going to meet uncle Leo so we can go eat together before we go buy you a dress for a party tonight." I turned to jay who was sitting in the passenger's seat looking outside the window, "Do you have something to wear for tonight's event?"

"Of course, I had already known you would attend since it is a yearly event even though you didn't attend it last year." I only shrugged in response, I wasn't one to socialize especially since to me everyone is much taller and muscular than I am.

I'm thankful jay is here to help out because I honestly don't know what to do, I just hope he isn't being fake nice for right now but I mean if ducky knew him enough to smile at him then ill trust him.

We ate at a Denny's by the city hall park and like always parking was a bit of a hassle but of course ducky rambling on about everything she saw on the walk in eased me. At first Leo was on guard when he met jay but by the time we got our food they had become good friends, good enough friends to gang up on me when I made a mistake.

While I was away with ducky, Leo had apparently enrolled her at my school and thankfully he had also already told Angelo I couldn't come to work for a few days due to family problems. I was thinking of quitting since two fulltime jobs and a part time job would be too much for me especially now that I have ducky to take care of. The thought of quitting made me sad but working there puts me at a higher risk of being assassinated so I'll have to tell Angelo on Monday.

After our somewhat light dinner we went to take ducky to get a dress and she is just beautiful, my little angel duck. As we left the store, Leo's phone began to ring, "Hmmm......ehhhhhh......hey Sky look at this. Lover boy is at my place." I looked at him in confusion and walked closer to him to see his phone screen. On the screen there was a black car and a man standing next to it, observing the gated house.

The more I looked at the details of the man the more I realized the man was Zach, what is he doing there? Jay had come closer to look at the screen as well and instantly knew who Zach was. "You all socialize with Mr. Henderson," he asked looking at me a bit worried.

"No but Zach here has his eyes on Sky wanting to do the nasty with him," leo says while imitating sex with his fingers. I blush a bit, "Shut up he does not." Jay looked at me with his brows furrowed, "I think it is best if you do not socialize with Mr. Henderson since he is one of the four like you. He will only want to try and get control over the group after all you know what nickname he has earned himself."

I looked at ducky asleep in my arms, I don't want any more problems that can endanger me and her so I'll do anything to have a somewhat peaceful life together.

After making sure Zach was not near, we headed to the house to get ready for the masque party. While Leo did my hair and make-up I was doing ducky's hair, I made two braids that connected in the back and put a little tiara on her that had a diamond shaped duck in the front surrounded by other diamonds.

My hair was curled even more with a half up and half down and of course Leo had gotten me a headband diamond tiara. Ducky's dress is a light pink tulle ball gown with transparent sleeves that had white lace spots along with lace on the back tail and a big bow in the back.

My dress is a white sleeveless tulle with black lace on the top that spread down to the bottom. I wore a thick black diamond choker to hide my addams apple a bit along with black diamond angel ear cuffs. Leo wore a black tux with a light pink tie that matched ducky and jay wore an all black tux. Ducky and I wore matching angel masks that had white beads and feathers mixed with gold. Leo wore a gold half mask that looked like it had a lions mane and jay wore a black masque that had black beads on the wolf ears.

Ducky was excited to go to the dance but I honestly wasn't so the kid within me thought to bring Uno cards to play later in case we got bored. Leo drove us all in one of his fanciest non-traceable sports cars into the city to the where the event is being held at, the Prince George Ballroom.

When we got out of the car the valet was ready to take the car from us and we made our way to the entrance of the ballroom where we had to check our code names in.

"Hello, please state your names," the lady sitting at a table next to the entrance doors asked us. "Hello, codename Lion's Reaper is here." Leo said which made the ladies smile fade but made him smile knowing he made a good impression. She turned to look at me waiting for my name, "Codename Devils' Angel." She looked down frightened a bit more then Jay gave his name which is Wolfs' Shadow and she scratched our names off, "P-please enjoy the party."

Leo offered his arm to me and I took it while I held onto ducky's hand with my other hand and jay walked beside her. As we walked through the double doors we earned looks towards us as they announced our codenames for all to hear.

I held ducky closer to my side and my hand on Leo's arm tightened a bit as we walked through the room to find some empty seats. When we finally found seats, I sat in between the guys while I had ducky sit in my lap since we were in a room full of killers and mafia bosses. "I'm nervous lion," I said leaning my head on ducky's head while observing the room full of people.

He looked at me with a smile showing off his pearly white teeth, "Don't worry angel you look magnificent tonight. Let's just have fun tonight before our carriage returns to being a pumpkin."
