"You probably already heard that Lan Chi Yang is totally adored and loved by his grandfather. Back than Elder Lan presented the case for his grandson unable to say no to him. From what I heard there were even some elders who were willing to approve the exception probably to watch Lan Chi Yang make a fool of himself. But after they heard from Lan Chi Yang about his guardian, they ended up not approving. Lan Chi Yang insisted on having Lu Jun Yu as his guardian saying that the military division elder would need to agree and make Lu Jun Yu his guardian if elder Lan told him to do so. But Lu Jun Yu had no interest in being that brat's guardian what so ever and in the end the elder disapproved and told Lu Jun Yu to gather some special ingredients instead just to make sure elder Lan wouldn't be able to force him into becoming guardian by giving him an important mission."

Taking in a deep breath Ma Lin Ha finished his story smiling a little victorious as if it was his good fortune that Lan Chi Yang wasn't approved his request for expectation. Mo Shin Yun could only smile days like this reminded him just how much Ma Lin Ha loved to gossip. Mostly he only nodded along giving short reactions here and there but other than that he sat there quietly listening and gathering his energy. "Ok but that aside you need a guardian and I did some checking." Ma Lin Ha continued.

"There are currently only a few disciples in the military division of imperial level or above who can take part in the expedition most of them have other obligations. First is, of course, Lu Jun Yu he is always part of the expedition because he leads those of the military division who take part in the expedition for the first time. Something like a short introduction course before they all split off in smaller groups following whatever they want to do. He is as far as everyone knows an imperial level has been for a few years. So, his foundation is strong and he is probably the best to guard you but he already refused to guard someone last time even though that person was Lan Chi Yang. We should put him on the maybe but not priority list."

"The next is a disciple called Lee Yan Yin he advanced last year to an imperial level. Which means this will be his last year to take part in the expedition but he took part in it before. He is a good choice because though he advances not too long ago, he had experience with the flowing hills and even went deeper into the Beast Mountains before. He might be able to help guide you to were you need to go to find your ingredients. I will try and see if I can find someone who is close to him so we can ask. The last one is San Ni Ya she advanced only a few months ago. Her cultivation base is still a little unstable but she is kind and probably the most willing to help. Wang Ha Yon said that some of her fellow acolytes know her so she will try and ask them if they can get her in contact."

Mo Shin Yun listened feeling his heart lighten as he heard that there might really be someone willing to be his guardian. "Honestly hearing all this I feel a little relieved I was worried nobody would be willing to help me but with your and Wang Ha Yon's help I might actually manage to fulfil the requirements to be an exception." Ma Lin Ha smiled giving him an encouraging look. After that, the two boys talked for a little longer about how to approach those three disciples before they bid their fair well.

The next few days Mo Shin Yun excused himself form classes and work in order to be able to visit Lee You Sin and have her help cleansing his meridians. After they had taken a long time to figure out what they had to do last time the process was now faster and a lot smoother. After only three days they managed to clean about nine-tenths of his meridian system and with Lee You Sin's nurturing it was easier for Mo Shin Yun to flush out the bits of poisoning that had gathered in his meridians again. Every evening after finishing their meditation Mo Shin Yun would feel exhausted and empty but he could feel the progress he was making as well, the dirty veins on his arm had disappeared and his own soul energy felt cleaner and stronger. "Tomorrow we will be able to finish cleaning your meridian system. I hope it will help you." Lee You Sin smiled as Mo Shin Yun was about to bid his goodbye stopping him from leaving as he grabbed his arm. "You wanted to meet someone right?"

For a second Mo Shin Yun had to think before he remembered who Lee You Sin meant. He nodded his head right away looking eager and a little worried. He really wanted the best for Lee You Sin and hoped the man she would marry would be good to her and make her happy. "Then if you are willing you can come with me to my master's place, he is currently staying in the sect to get to know me and to talk the marriage over before he askes for my hand from grandpa." With that Lee You Sin started pulling Mo Shin Yun along.

They stopped in front of a big house it wasn't really a traditional style house with an inner garden and the rooms organized around it. It rather was a big, imposing, round house with two stories reminding Mo Shin Yun of a tower. The roof was pointy with curved sides not really matching with the style of the other buildings around. Seeing Mo Shin Yun's expression, Lee You Sin laughed. "Master is a little eccentric he thinks that corners gather bad energy and will stop you from furthering your cultivation so everything he had power over was turned round."

Mo Shin Yun sighed. Every world had their wired people. After a knock, a loud voice told them to stop lingering outside and get in already. Mo Shin Yun had a strong hunch that this voice belonged to Lee You Sin's teaching master the rather eccentric man with a hatred for corners and he was right as soon as they stepped in, he saw the man matching the voice as he gave them a short scolding about wasting other peoples time by lingering in front of doors. The man looked like he was in his mid-fifties with a long white beard and a rather eccentric looking expression. He had the kind of personality that easily overshadowed others and was wearing a bright green and pink robe.

Mo Shin Yun was pretty sure that neon colours didn't exist in this world but the robe was damn close to being neon coloured. "Lee You Sin who did you bring along come on sit, sit you should spend some time with your future husband before he asks for your hand." Lee You Sin only smiled giving a polite bow. "Elder Wang it is nice to see you so energetic today." She quickly pulled Mo Shin Yun closer. "This is my brother Mo Shin Yun we grew up under grandpa's care together I wanted to introduce him to the two of you today."

Elder Wang gave Mo Shin Yun a short look as if sizing him up before he nodded. "I see, I see. Now enough of those formalities sit down or you will grow roots by the door." With that Mo Shin Yun and Lee You Sin, were pulled into the house and towards what seemed to be the tea room since there was a round table in the middle and even the cushions surrounding it were round. The room itself was also round Mo Shin Yun didn't really understand the principle used in this house to make it all round but somehow it worked. He assumed there were unused rooms in between the round ones that were just filled with stones but he didn't know.

After sitting down Mo Shin Yun finally saw the other person who before had been covered by Elder Wang's imposing personality. "Mo Shin Yun this is Lee Ling Mo. Lee Ling Mo this is my brother Mo Shin Yun." Lee You Sin quickly introduced them after they sat down. "Nice to meet you." Lee Ling Mo spoke giving the other a smile. Mo Shin Yun himself was a little more reserved with his expression keeping his smiles at a minimum until he had finished judging the other.

"Lee You Sin it is nice to see you again last time we sadly didn't have much time to speak. I was hoping today you would be able to give me a little more of your time." Lee Ling Mo spoke again looking at Lee You Sin with a soft smile. Mo Shin Yun nodded in approvement. The smile looked sincere. "Today I will have more time to spent with you as long as Elder Wang doesn't have any important tasks for me." Lee You Sin replied returning the smile. "I have no such tasks for you." Elder Wang injected and for some reason, Mo Shin Yun had the impression the elder was sulking a little.

"Would you like to accompany me on a walk around the sect I haven't been here before and I would be interested in seeing everything?" Lee Ling Mo asked Lee You Sin, offering her his arm after she nodded in agreement. "Of course, you can come along too Mo Shin Yun." The man quickly added as he saw Mo Shin Yun's calculating look. The three were leaving Elder Wang's house as they took a stroll around the sect. Mo Shin Yun walked slower than the other two watching them interact with each other rather than injecting himself in the conversation.

There was clearly a little awkwardness between the two but that was understandable considering they only meet a few times before. But he could also see that Lee You Sin was showing some interest in the other and the other way round. Of course, after only meeting a few times one couldn't fall in love and be happy for life but since it was an arranged marriage and they would need to be partners rather than lovers for Mo Shin Yun it was most important that the other didn't show any negative behaviour towards Lee You Sin.

He probably should get Lee Ling Mo drunk today and take a closer look at how he was behaving drunk since that was the best way to judge the way he would act around Lee You Sin. If he had violent tendencies they would come out when he was drunk or if he was the type to let his wife do all the work it would show in his drunk behaviour. Making his decision Mo Shin Yun caught up with the other two. "Since it is my first time meeting you today how about I invite you to dinner. Since we are all practising ShuCha it might even be a good way of learning something new for me." Both Lee You Sin and Lee Ling Mo nodded in agreement. This was also a good way for them to spent more time together and talk about different things.

After following Lee You Sin, they found themselves in a beautiful cosy kitchen not far from the main lecture building. "Wow, this place is really pretty I didn't even know they had places like this in the sect." Mo Shin Yun looked around with big eyes. "Master Wang reserved it for me so I have a place to practice." Lee You Sin answered once more showing Mo Shin Yun just how big the difference between an indigo and a yellow coloured-soul disciple was. He couldn't help but feel a little envious. The only practice he managed to do was during his time working in the sect kitchen or during lessons when their teachers were giving them time to go over what they had learned.

"How about we all cook a dish for dinner this way we can all learn something." Lee You Sin suggested looking at the others for approval. They both just nodded their heads agreeing with the idea. First was Mo Shin Yun since he was the one with the lowest skill and probably would take the least amount of time. "What ingredients do you have?" He asked Lee You Sin who just pointed towards a door. "Through there is the storage room and the cooling room." With a nod, Mo Shin Yun opened the door walking into the small room light up by one luminous pearl.

Since he still wasn't familiar with all the ingredients in this world, he tried to play it safe by using ingredients he knew. Looking around he found flour, eggs, onions and other vegetables. He wasn't yet a high enough level to cut meat without losing the spiritual energy stored in it so he decided to go with some easy vegetarian dish. Since he had cooked before in his previous life and even had a little interest in it, he wasn't totally lost about what to make. Taking another look around he could either make some curry filled buns or some steamed egg. Since for the first recipe the dough needed to rest and he would have to find yeast he decided to just make some simple steamed eggs.

Taking out the eggs and something similar to bell pepper as well as some golden carrots he placed them on the kitchen counter just as he was about to wash the veggies, he remembered something else returning to the storage room he walked into the even smaller room. On the floor was a big ice crystal emitting cold air keeping the room cool like a refrigerator. Looking around he quickly found what he was looking for. The milk of the Sheapan beast. This milk was really smooth and creamy but with a softly salty taste to it.

With the milk, he returned to the kitchen. While he was gone both Lee You Sin and Lee Ling Mo and taken a closer look at his ingredients wondering what food he was going to make. "You are using Sheapan milk with eggs?" Lee Ling Mo Looked surprised. Mo Shin Yun just nodded. He was too focused on the task in front of him. After washing the vegetables, he had to cut them. Carefully he engulfed each with his soul power then as he cut them, he let his soul power flow into the cut quickly covering the now exposed parts forcing the spiritual energy inside the vegetable to stay in. Once he finished cutting one vegetable, he had to use even more soul force to refine the spiritual energy inside the vegetable to stop it from leaking even if he pulled way his soul energy this part was hideous and time-consuming.

He carefully had to weave thin strings of his own soul energy into the vegetable's spiritual energy like sawing a cloth hem to stop the threats from unruffling. Letting out a breath he turned his attention to the carrot after he cut the bell pepper. This took just as much time but afterwards both the bell pepper and the carrot were cut into small cubes. The rest wasn't as difficult since he wouldn't cut anything the eggs contained their own spiritual energy and the milk also didn't leak much unless it was heated up.

Mixing the eggs with the vegetables and the milk he finished all preparations before going over to cooking. This part was once more difficult. He had to carefully control the temperature while covering the food with soul energy to stop any spiritual energy from leaking. With his eyebrows scrunched in concentration, he increased the temperature. Lucky the food he chose had to steam and not be stir-fried or baked. Since he had a water soul element, he could control the steaming process a little better using his soul energy to stimulate the water in the milk to make the steamed eggs perfectly fluffy and soft.
