We finally arrived and Luna signaled me out of the van, I hadn't realized how many people wherein the car with us, how many people saw me shriveled up. 5 officers came out of the vehicle and helped me down, followed by Luna and Stan aimlessly refused to help the drug lord's daughter. He simply sat there and spat orders. He commended 3 officers to head back into the van and signaled the other two to follow Luna and take care of the "trash". The van's door closed leaving me, Luna, and the two officers in front of an old building that had a sign that read 'Build Their Homes'. My mind flooded with thoughts and concern.
"for such a little girl, you sure do have a lot of worries." luna said as she knelt in front of me.
" look we're at a foster care, you'll have to stay here until they find you a new home," she stated through sad eyes, six years old me was still trying to process all that was unfolding before my eyes.
"oh, ok," I said in the calmest manner possible.
We entered the building and were greeted by an old lady and her clipboard. She smiled at us, and chills filled my spine. I quickly grabbed hold of Luna's hand and buried my face in her stomach.
I don't think I'm gonna like it here.
