Book of untold stories

It was a Pirate city

It was a Pirate city

May 04, 2021

Pro tip sleeping on a ship isn’t as much fun as you’d think mostly when your wake-up call is a cat trying to use your hair as a feather cat toy or when your bed slides to the other side of the room and you hit your head against the wall. Just in general sleeping is a no Bueno experience. I got the cat this time. “ Your so lucky your cute or else I would have thrown you off the ship. And I hear Poseidon doesn’t like cats. “ I grabbed the orange tabby cat and placed her next to me. I got up and started to get dressed which didn’t take long since I slept in my clothes. Hey, don’t judge me you would too if your clothes were this comfortable. I went up the ladder up to the deck. Captain Marauder was up next to the edge of the boat looking into the ocean. Now this woman was the only reason I’m insecure about my height. Even though I’m 17 and she’s only 3 years older than me. She was very tall and the heeled boots she wore didn’t help. She lifted her arm and called me over. I walked up next to her “How did you know I was there?” she took off her captain’s hat and leaned her crossed arms on the railings “Well considering you’re the only one who slept in” She looked at me and pat my back with her right arm. “ I just had to do some process of elimination.” I half-laughed embarrassed that I was the last awake. “ You tired from Makalia?” Captain marauder asked me as she straightened up her figure looming over me. “Yes that place was hard to get around the harbor and everything was nearly falling apart.” I looked to my right we were too far out to see land all was there was the sea, the sky, and the horizon where they met. “Well it was, after all, a pirate city” Captain Marauder put her hat back on “there were always ships coming in trying to pillage the place. But that’s all for stories go eat you’re not gonna get any taller if you don’t eat.” With that Captin walked off to her office. I started walking to where everyone else was. I looked back in the direction where Makalia was. I took a deep breath one more city was found and left alone again but I guess that’s just the pirate’s life.
