Brandon's POV

" Explain to me what exactly are we achieving by peeking into the boxing clubroom instead of walking in and finding Luke? " Kris asked in a whisper as both of us hung out by the side of the door and looked in.

" Oh, that.. uh nothing? " I slowly said as I turned to her with a sheepish smile. Kris rolled her eyes in response and grabbed my hand as she pulled me into the room. " You and your shyness. " She muttered under her breath.

As we walked in, we were met with the sight of a group of guys chatting animatedly as they gathered their belongings. " That was sweet!! It's been a while since I had a showdown like that!! " One guy said.

" I know right! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys here! You're officially welcome to the club!! " Another guy, who was probably the club's president, said. " Thank you so much!! But seriously though, you give us way too much praise. " A familiar voice said with a laugh.

My eyes searched the crowd trying to locate the owner of that voice, and standing there was Luke. He was drenched in sweat and his shirt stuck to him slightly, complimenting his well-built stature. A towel loosely hung around his neck and his hair looked disheveled with sweat dripping from it, but overall he was a sight to behold.

Kris followed my line of sight and whistled in a low voice. " Worth coming with you. ", she whispered. I quickly diverted my gaze and gave Kris a whack on the head. " Let's go. " I said as I pushed her.

" Luke! " I called out and immediately he snapped his head into my direction. " Brandon!! " He exclaimed as he excused himself from the senior and made his way towards us.

" Here's your key. " I said as I pulled it out of my pocket quickly. " I called you twice but you didn't pick up. So I asked around for you and ended up here. " I explained.

" Why am I not surprised. " A voice came from behind him. " You didn't charge your phone again. Did you? " Another similar voice said. Soon we were joined by three other guys who stood beside Luke. " Cut me some slack guys. " Luke said as he playfully punched them.

" Lukey. Introductions? " The one who hadn't spoken till now chirped in. " Ah yes, of course. Brandon, these are my friends. Coney, Fran, and Luan - " He started, pointing to the black-haired guy with stormy grey eyes who just spoke and then pointing to the twins who were both light brown-eyed and blonde-haired.

" - And guys, this is Brandon, my roommate. And this is- " he stopped as he looked at Kris. " Name's Kris. Nice to meet y'all. " She answered with a bright grin. "Awesome! " Luke said as he grinned back.

" Sorry about not picking up the phone though. We had a match with the seniors for enrolling into the boxing club and so I got caught up and forgot to contact you... " Luke said as he scratched his head. He did that every time he was apologetic or nervous.

I waved it off and replied with a smile, " Don't worry about it. "
" You guys had lunch yet? " Luan asked. Or at least the one that I assumed was Luan, asked. Immediately Fran followed it up with the next question " Want to join us? "

And before I could open my mouth to answer, Kris put her hand around my shoulder and said, "Sure! We'd love to! "
