" I hope I get the part," Luna said to Lyn. " I really wanna dance with a boy". " Cool," Lyn said. The word " boy" seemed to make her nauseous. " Would 'bout you?" Luna asked. " I really wanna get the part, but I don't wanna dance with a boy..." Lyn replied. " Well that's junk," Luna said. " It's not..." Lyn replied. " Girl, if you don't even have a man in your life, you'll grow up to be a sad and lonely old lady," Luna told her. " I don't care". Lyn closed her eyes.
" Well, I better get home. I have to take care of my millions of little brothers" Luna had a look on her face like she was being tortured. " Okay," Lyn said. They went their separate ways.
Lyn walked inside her house. " Hi! How was ballet class?" her mother asked. " Fine," said Lyn, in her usual not enthusiastic way. " What's wrong?" her other sister, Kaylee asked. " I just... I really want to be The Sugarplum, but I don't wanna dance with a boy" Lyn said. " Well, honey, that's part of life," her mom said. " I started dating Carl when I was your age," Kaylee said. She went on her tippy-toes and kissed Carl. " Yuck," Lyn said aloud. " Listen, I know your not the kind of girl who wants to date, but you still can do things that interact with a boy".
" But what if I have to kiss him?" Lyn asked. " Then take is as an acting kiss. Not a real one" Kaylee told her. " Okay, then," Lyn said, " I guess I'll audition".
A few hours after dinner, Lyn called Luna to tell her the good news. " Hey!" she said, for the first time, enthusiastically. " What!? What has you so excited for the"
She paused for a second.
" for the first time in forever!" she sang as Ana did in frozen. " Shut your mouth up!" Lyn yelled. She and Luna started laughing. " Okay, okay, I'm being serious. What?". " I'm gonna audition! And not even care about the boy!" Lyn said. No one said anything for a second. " Okay, well the boy is the best part, but It's your choice," Luna said. " Okay-, wait! Are you saying the boy is better than the ballet?" Lyn asked, shocked. " Well, yeah, kinda. Isn't that why everyone does ballet? For the boys?" Luna said. " No! It's about dancing, and perfection! Not boys!" Lyn yelled.
" You cannot yell at me like that!" Luna yelled back. " I can, too! You're not even my mother!" Lyn yelled, louder. " Aren't your parents gonna find out!? Aren't they in your house!?" Luna asked. " NO! THEY AREN'T HOME!" Lyn yelled, as loud as she could. " SISTER!?" Luna asked. " NO!" Lyn replied. " SISTERS BOYFRIEND!?" Luna asked. " NOPE!" Lyn replied.
" AND IF YOU TELL ME TO STOP, I WILL-"
" MY PARENTS ARE HOME!" Luna yelled. There was silence for a while. " Listen, I have to go. Bye". " No! Please I... I didn't mean to!" Lyn said. " GOODBYE," Luna said. She hangs up. " I'll show her!" Lyn said.
