That was when I was ten. Five years ago. I never did get my power.

Today was my first day at my new high school! When I woke up I went straight to my brother's room. I took a deep breath, "WAKE UP YURI!!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs.

 "Myeh” he said as he got up and scowled at me. 

"Kukukukuku”  I laughed mischievously.

“You're annoying.”he said.

"Why thank you kind sir.” I said in a british accent with a bow. He just rolled his eyes. 

"YUKIRI! YURI! BREAKFAST IS READY!!” my mom called from downstairs. Yuri and I looked at each other then bolted downstairs. I was faster than him. We raced to the kitchen.

 "MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA I WON!!” I exclaimed proudly. My brother gave me the death stair. My mother was putting eggs and bacon on a plate. Me and Yuri ate as fast as we could, it was already 7:47 AM and we have school at 8:05! Once we had finished eating we both ran upstairs and got ready, brushing out teeth, getting dressed into our uniforms, and packing out bags. 

“IF YOU DON'T HURRY IMMA LEAVE OUT YOU!!” I yelled once I got to the door.

I heard my brother running down the stairs trying to put his shoes on. As soon as he came down stairs we both bolted out the door. As I tried to get out the door my hand accidentally touched his face, as soon as my hand touched his head frost began to form on his face…. I stopped and took my hand off his face. I look terrified at what I did to his face. I took a few steps back and stumbled. My heart was pounding. My brother just looked at me in fear, I could tell he was scared. Wha...what did I just do… I thought

“I-I’m... I… i'm really s-sorry…” I said while slowly backing away from him. I turned around and ran to the school. By the time I got there I was panting. I ran inside to the principal's office. 

"M-MR. SHUSHIMA” he looked up. 

"Yes?” he asked calmly. 

"MY BROTHER!! ”I yelled. He looked at me confused. "H-he… his face kinda froze!” Mr. Shushima looked at me with alarm. 

“Calm down. Where is he?” I took a deep breath.

“He is about 10 minutes away, around where the park is.” I said, still taking deep breaths to calm myself down. 

“Okay, thank you. We will go get him. You need to go to class though.” Mr. Shushima said as he made a call. I looked at my feet and walked to class. The hallways were empty with the occasional kid skipping class or going to the bathroom. When I got to my class I took a deep breath, as I walked inside the class staired at me. 

“I'm really sorry i'm late…” I said. The teacher sighed.

“Okay, just go take your seat.” he said. I nodded and walked to my seat. As soon as I sat down the teacher started talking. 

"Hello, I am your teacher, Mr. Nishana.” “For today we will be introducing ourselves.” He looked at me. “You go first.” I got up and slowly walked up to the front of the class. I looked up, there were about 20 people in here not including myself or the teacher.

“H-hello, I am Yukiri Tanaka. I am 15 years old.”

“What is your power?” Mr. Nashina asked. I thought back to what I did earlier. My brother, my poor older brother…

I paused for a second.

“Im… i'm not really sure what it is... “ I said quietly.

“Any questions for Yukiri?” The teacher asked. A few kids raised their hands. “Yes May?” A girl with straight light pink hair and two black ribons in her hair stood up. 

“Can she be my friend?” The girl asked. The class laughed a little wile the teacher looked unamused. Then he looked at me. 

“Y-yeah…” I was a little surprised that she asked that. 

“Okay, both of you please sit down now.” We both sat down.

“Do you want to eat lunch with me?” she said in a hush wiper as I sat down. I looked at her and nodded. She looked very happy.
