Burrow

Burrow and the hipperfuffs part 3/6

Burrow and the hipperfuffs part 3/6

May 08, 2021

Burrow stepped out of his house with a sense of pride starting to poke its way through his mind. He had managed to convince his mum that he was going camping with his friends, and that was no easy task to do. As he sauntered towards the kelakiz forest, a tenseness started to creep its way up Burrow’s spine. He was going to rescue The Grand Goblin. He was. What if he failed? ‘Ahhh, no. I need to think of something more happy.’ ok, then… what if it was the lost sea goblin tribe that had captured the Great Goblin? Was he about to make two great discoveries?
‘There he is. Hey, Burrow! Ready to go?’
Burrow had invited his very best friend,Gary, to come with him. Gary had a slightly  deeper green shade of skin then him(about the same shade as the seaweed you see in cartoons), and was older by just two days.He was much taller than burrow, however, Burrow knew this was only because he was particularly small. Earth goblins are actually supposed to be the largest type of goblin, but evolution has gradually made them smaller. Some of the older residents were still quite big, since the Kelakiz forest seemed to speed up the evolutionary process at times.Well, anyways, Burrow was born on what was supposedly a very small day.

Gary had packed a small rucksack with some spare clothes, food, and some books, along with the odd pencil to write and sketch with, of course. Burow had packed the tent, water, and a long rope ladder just in case.
The two friends set off into the forest, barely speaking a few words between them, except when they started to get off trail, which happened quite often. After a few hours of hiking (that seemed like days), the pair noticed that it was getting dark, and decided to set up camp.
“Wait, it is getting dark already?” Burrow asked questioningly.
“Yeah, I really do think it is. I really didn't notice with that weird trail of illumishrooms lighting up the path.”
“Wait, what?”
Burrow hadn’t seen the fungi lining the path, probably because he was so absorbed in his own train of thoughts. The trail of glowing mushrooms, the duo discovered, soon left the trail, and it was then decided, on the spot, that they would follow it tomorrow.

“Goodnight, Burrow.”
“Goodnight, Gary.”
