To someone, a secret can be detrimental to their entire life. To others, it could be something small such as liking someone.

One thing everyone can agree on, though, no one wants their secret spreading out.

Telling someone a secret can end one of three ways. They forget about it, which happens a lot. Another way is that they tell someone else, too much happens. The rarest is that they keep your secret and remember. Those types of people are rare and hard to come by.

Yeong-Su sat across from Jung-Hee. They were now in Yeong-Su's apartment. The awkward tension probably could be sensed from a mile away.

The worker cleared his throat before he began to speak, “My name is Kim Yeong-Su. I work for the sales department for Company J, Mr. Lee.” He tried to be as calm as possible. He is a very down-to-earth type of person.

“Jung-Hee... Call me Jung-Hee, ” the CEO spoke after looking at Yeong-Su with a disgusted face. “Mr. Lee is my father. Besides, you saved my life. I think. It is only fair!” He was quick to flash a smile.

Yeong-Su nodded almost immediately. He was glad to be getting along with the CEO. He had heard horrific rumors that Jung-Hee was like a cynical beast. He heard that once, the CEO had made someone work for hours after dark just because he wanted to. Those seem to be only office rumors, though.

Jung-Hee had noticed that Yeong-Su had been unintentionally staring at him. “Stop looking at me! I know I’m pretty but can you try to be a little more nonchalant, ” he spoke out loudly, which freed Yeong-Su from his train of thoughts.

He sat there for a moment before realizing what Jung-Hee had said.

How can someone have that much confidence? Well, he is the heir of a wealthy organization. And with those looks? He has all the right to be that confident.

He let out a pent-up sigh before he stood up. “I am glad to have kept you safe, but you do not have to be so casual with me. After all, I do work under you. It is as if you are treating me as someone I am not, ” Yeong-Su said as he looked down at Jung-Hee.

Jung-Hee’s eyes widened as he tilted his head up. “I owe you for saving me, though. Please, allow me to speak to you casually!”

The grey-haired male let out a small tsk. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. “You owe me? Then do something I like. You’re only doing what you want to do.”

“Huh? Something you like?” Jung-Hee questioned, “I can do that! What do you like?” He was smiling once again.

“You will have to figure that out on your own. Oh, and please do not try to talk to me at work unless it's work-related. Don’t talk so casually either. I like to keep my work life separate from my real life. Which you seem to have joined.”

The CEO shook his head up and down. He stood up and extended his hand. “I, Lee Jung-Hee, will be in your debt until I pay you back!” He sounded way too serious. As if he had been in this situation before.

Yeong-Su shook his hand with a tight grip. “You make it sound like we’re making a deal.”

“Is that not what this is? A deal? Sure, most deals I have associated with are mafia ones. I think this counts as a deal!” Said Jung-Hee before silence filled the room. “You didn't hear that, right?”

“Do you want me to lie?” Yeong-Su asked, but the other male declined.

“My family has been a mafia for generations. J Company was established by my father 20 years ago. The Mafia was boring to him, and he wanted a change. I don't understand how that old man works. Anyway, now people are after the company because they found out we’re behind it. It’s not as bad as it sounds.”

Yeong-Su blinked a few times. “A raise. All I want is a raise. Now I might be involved in your family mafia fiasco!? I think I need to be drunk right now...” He sat back down and rubbed his head. “Jung-Hee?”

The male perked up almost immediately, “Yes, Mr. Kim? I can get you that raise!”

“Do me a favor and never speak to me again. I have my own life and I rather not be involved with whatever you have going on in yours, ” he spoke coldly.

Jung-Hee nodded and started to make his way to the doorway. He stopped though. “Before I am completely banished from speaking to you...” He walked back and forced his lips onto Yeong-Su’s.

Yeong-Su froze for a second before pulling Jung-Hee closer. Why was he doing this? Could it be that had hadn’t had any action in months? But could he do it with his boss?

They both pulled back at the same time. Jung-Hee was now straddling Yeong-Su’s lap. A few pants were let out.

“Why did you kiss me back?” Jung-Hee asked as he brushed the hair away from his eyes. All Yeong-Su did was shrug. The black-haired male couldn't help but laugh. “You’re much calmer now. I should’ve kissed you sooner!”

Yeong-Su shook his head and let go of Jung-Hee. “No, you just took me by surprise. It was just an instinct to kiss back. I don't even li- Well, I do.”

Jung-Hee’s eyes lit up as he kissed Yeong-Su once again. “Go out with me! I can get you anything you want and you can keep me company outside of work!”

“No, ” Yeong-Su said almost instantaneously, “absolutely not. No way. I would rather live, thank you very much. Dating my boss is way, way, way off my list of safe things to do in life.”

The CEO got off the other’s lap. “Please think about it. I can get you not only a raise but also a promot-”

Yeong-Su was quick to cut him off, “Deal! When can I start? Tomorrow?” It was like he did a whole 360 as soon as promotion was even brought up.

Jung-Hee smirked a little. “That works out perfectly. I’m glad to be doing this with you, Kim Yeong-Su.”

Yeong-Su nodded. His eyes looked like they had a form of life for the first time since Jung-Hee looked into them.
