"Well-" The words had barely left James's mouth before he was being pulled by Alex in the direction of her house. "Come on, you'll love it! I'll even get to show you Nathan's ugly room-" it happened again. Alex stopped abruptly, with James smashing into her roughly. "Alex, why did you-?" James said. He was staring at Alex's turned head. She shut her eyes tight and the light dimmed.
She was confused. She felt faint. Alex slowly closed her eyes. "Alex- Why did you stop? You were going to show me to your house?" said James. "Alexxx," James said again. "Yeah- Yeah, we'll head to my house." said Alex faintly. "Are you okay?" James asked. "I-" She stammered, then, she blacked out.
. . .
Everything seemed to go in slow motion. Alex heard cries and yells, shouts and screams. Felt the warmth and heat of fire. She felt soft hands lifting her into something and heard earsplitting loud sirens. Next thing, she heard a car door slam. Every scream and shout was silenced. She felt the unsettling vibration of the engine starting, along with another soft hand squeezing hers. She couldn't tell who it was. Her eylids felt heavy, like a large iron axe. She opened her eyes a fraction and saw two blurry figures. One was smiling and one was slightly frowning. Though, Alex couldn't tell who was smiling and who wasn't. Was Alex being carried off to the hospital? It's not like she passed out or anything.. She only fainted-
But then it struck her.
The truth.
She understood everything.
Excitement flooded through Alex's blood.
She wanted to tell her brother, James, her friends...
But then the excitement leaked out like water seeping through the smallest crack.
