While the space team was in utter turmoil, the Space Union back on Earth was having a panic as well. Although only a month has passed in the galaxies, 5 years and a half has already passed due to the difference between time. A lot has happened and everyone was excited for the three space crafts to return home. However, some problems rose.
"What did you say?" An old man asked in surprise. Despite the evidence of aging, he was clearly very upright, respectable and intelligent.
"Professor Lemaitre. T-the three ships are uncontactable!" the technician responsible for this was said nervously, his voice shaking.
"Maybe, the server was interrupted, check again." Prof. Lemaitre said, trying to calm down.
"We already checked but there's no problem with it, the ships were confirmed to receive the signal the problem was no one was answering. All three of them!" The technician answered again, drops of sweat cascading down his forehead. They all knew that this was a large scale project, they couldn't afford to fail now.
Professor Lemaitre calmed down first then thought of an idea, "Can you connect to the security cameras of the three ships?"
The technicians in station immediately worked their hands and connected to it.
However, there was something wrong. The footages they salvaged were just from about day 1 up today 4-5 the following were clearly sabotaged, all they could see were black after that. But the cameras at the Skeld were an exemption.
The camera worked at the last minutes!
What appeared in front of their eyes was straight up a sci-fi movie. Full of high-tech weapons and people in high-tech gears with pretty faces.
The places of the cameras were limited so they couldn't see the full situation but they did saw the battle, the smoke of guns, and the arrival of an amazing ship. The ship where the commander and his rescue team rode.
The MiraHQ, the Polus, and the Skeld's cameras were sabotaged early on so no clips will be discovered, the mission was to not let the humans know of them, so this is a given. But when Code 015 rained bullets on the ship, everything was messed up and the device that Code 002 used was destroyed so the cameras saved the files on that time.
The device they used was something that would interfere with the data, so even though the videos taken won't be saved, the crewmates who watches the cctvs on the security room won't suspect even a bit.
"This-.." Everyone couldn't believe their eyes. Professor Lemaitre's eyes also widen in surprise. They were really real! The legends that his ancestors passed down to their family from generation to generation are real. But he can't just say it to the public right now, the world isn't prepared for this yet.
But they need to first retrieve the three ships are the government and the people will sue them for this failure. While thinking of something his eyes once again saw that ship. And an idea popped on his mind.
"Enlarge the image of the ship that approached the Skeld at the last minute!" He shouted.
He immediately inspected the ship and beside the ship were foreign letters, engraved on it's metal body. Fortunately he could actually read the engravings, despite the little changes on the letters it was still comprehensible. Letters gradually change as time passes, just like on Earth.
"Call all the engineers on the union, we will be making another Airship." The professor said with a smile on his face, completely entranced by the ecstasy of his passion, forgetting the life and death of the crewmates inside.

Because of the situation, the engineers responsible for making another space craft doubled their time and managed to finish the Airship 2.0 in just a year!
This time they didn't scout any civilian to train like the first time but instead invited professional astronauts to crew the ship. And the day to set off has arrived. And surprisingly, the professor, himself, went with them. Anxious and excited about discovering the long lost history of the world.
They travelled through the galaxies for 2 years. It was much faster than it's first three predecessors because they managed to make more powerful engines because of the unique design that they copied from the original Airship.
Finally, they could see the Skeld in the distant. Professor Lemaitre then let the smaller ships, that they took the design after the space pods, to scatter into other directions to check the conditions of MiraHQ and Polus.
Everything in this void of stars, feels so near yet are actually so far. It felt like you could just reach them but you couldn't grasp them in your hands.
So despite the fact that they could already perceive the ship, it was actually still far away. Because no matter how they copied the Airship.
A fake is still a fake in the end. It could never surpass the original.

Moments later they finally arrived at the side of the Skeld where the two space pods broke through. Proessor Lemaitre lead the team inside. While entering he couldn't help but observe the gun shots on the walls and everything, maybe it was just a nature of a scientist.
At the storage room, he looked back at the group of people who were following him then divided them into three groups. One team will explore the left wing of the ship, the other team on the right and the third on the middle. The middle team will be led by the Professor himself while the other teams will be led by his own apprentices to help him gather useful things for their research.
"Go!" He said and everyone dispersed.
Professor Lemaitre then slowly made their way towards their rendezvous, which is in the cafeteria.
They first past by the admin, they entered the room then saw the space bags, and the things inside it where loitering around, obviously someone must have an emergency to find something inside the bag. He then signaled someone to take a picture of the scene first before touching anything. They also saw the tables and chairs piled up, the professor then asked someone to clear the stack of table and chairs then saw the vent. Although confuse, Professor Lemaitre just made sure to observe more and he'll surely find out what was really happening real soon.
Since it was the admin office, the first very important thing in here was the files, so they looked through it and no anomalies except for the profile of the crewmate named White. The profiles of the crews should be on it's own drawer but somehow it wasn't.
A few minutes later they walked out of the admin and to their next destination.
At first glance, there's nothing unusual in the cafeteria but the emergency button was actually open!
In the training of the crews years ago, they were briefed that the emergency was only if something extreme really happened like, the ship hit a comet or their was something wrong with the ship, in short if it's not that serious the button should not be opened.
A foreboding feeling rose in the professor's heart. Involuntarily his eyes went to the direction of the lobby. It was like there's some kind of magnet pulling him towards that particular room.
While the rest of his team was waiting for the others at the cafeteria, he went towards the lobby on his own. His feet just slowly led him in there. When he was finally in front of the door, his hands couldn't help but shake in nervousness or was it curiousness.

The door issued a sound then opened. A white smoke burst outside and in his face. The professor expected to feel some burning sensation or smell something burning but it felt cold and it smelled like medicine.
The others also became alert when they saw that white smoke then ran beside the professor. When the smoke finally subsided, the scene inside made them speechless.
"Check the bodies in this instance, and give me the details of every individual!" The professor's voice commanded, and they got out of their blank mindedness and followed the orders.
They checked the persons inside the glass caskets one by one, also checking if they were alive or not.
"Reporting! There were a total of 8 bodies found, all of which have died. Some died of suffocation, some died of stab wounds and poison, others died of gunshot." A staff reported.
"8? There was supposed to be 10 crewmates each ship, isn't it?" the professor asked with his raised brow.
"Yes. Two were missing, it was crewmate Red and White." the staff answered.
After hearing this, he immediately thought that the deaths might be connected to these two, perhaps they were the murderers themselves and ran away. But there was also this group of extra terrestrial people who came to the ship, it's possible that those two were captured and abducted.
While he was deep in thought, someone called him that the two other group have sent their report. And the report was the same as what happened in the Skeld. All crewmates died, one person missing.
The professor who was someone with a knowledge about the star alliance suddenly felt frightened. When he was young he thought that it was just a fiction, a fictional dream that his ancestors made up as a story and passed to their descendants, when he grew up he started to believe it and it drove him to prove it, striving hard to be an excellent astrologist, and finally he came this far.
It was crystal clear that what his ancestors said were true and that the Earth having a completely different and higher civilization was true, and Professor Lemaitre wanted to regain that. But this, sabotaging their ships and killing their crewmates was an obvious warning.
A warning to know one's place and to not overstep the bounds.
Professor Lemaitre was entangled. He wanted to know more about this intergalactic civilization but he was afraid that this would inflict the whole world and the human race would perish. He knew the deeds that the humans made millennias ago, and it was indeed punishable of extinction, the Empire's king was kind enough just to let them off with light sentence but now Professor Lemaitre was unsure.
